Thank you for the links. Many Chinese emperors and warlords were bi-sexual, its in the literature and histo books.Yet, I remember being told it was the foreigners that brought this to China - The motto -you can be different but "keep quiet", and no one really cares. In 1980s in Hong Kong it was a criminal offence to be gay (with a life sentence) - forget transgender. They even had a special team of police that searched for outspoken gays. This was decriminalized in the late eighties or early nineties. A month ago in a High Court appeal they made marriage legal between a post op and her male counterpart.
We are moving slowly forward but we need those brave enough to stand up.

This morning, in HKs newspapers, on the front page - which also included Snowdens flight to Russia, was the news of a FTM person sex cahnge strory, then it continues for a full page inside the newspaper. Its still so new here, and its so brave to come out with full blown pictures in such a conservative society.
