Soo another coming out thread from me... Crazy right?? :laugh: So as the title suggests I came out to my mom today. I came out to my twin sister a couple weeks ago, and my brother a little while before that. Anyways, my mom was so super supportive it was fantastic. I am so happy right now you guys dont even know, well im sure some of you do  ;). So Basically I told her, she said she wanted me to just be happy and she had a feeling something was up. After that we just had a real open and honest conversation about everything from  me wanting to be a mother to guys to if I am getting surgeries and when. We talked for about 6 hours, before my dad got home (so far everyone agrees he is going to be the difficult one, I didnt tell him) Soo thats 3/5 people I want to remain in my life are supportive. 2 more still to tell. I am very optimistic for my other sister. My dad not so much. My mom said she thinks he will just need some time and to be patient. When I do tell him. In any case I am taking this victory to heart. It is nice to know I was right about my mom and she loves me regardless of who I am. She even said that when the time comes, she wants to be the one to take care of me after the surgery! I love my mom! ;D

I'm so pleased for you Olivia, your mom is just terrific as far as moms go! Your dad will no doubt be grumpy, but your mom will hold the high cards and he'll see the light, it may take a little time. Sounds like you have a great family and will get loads of loving support. I could only wish the same for a few other girls here that are going through some awful stress with family.

A little update. My mom just sent me a text. "You will always be my baby. I love you Liv... always no matter what...forever" SHE CALLED ME LIV. :o Love my momma! I feel so blessed and lucky right now.

Thanks for the replies ladies. Im just so happy to be me right now I dont know what to do lol. This morning I shut my finger in my car door. It was throbbing sooo bad that I had to leave work. On the way home I just got the courage and drove straight to see my mom. I dont normally believe in fate or anything but, yeah.. So happy and thankful and lucky to have my mom.

Aww that's really great news. Yeah your dad will probably take time but the good part is dads can often be your best protectors in the end. My dad was a hard ass in the beginning but ended up being my biggest supporter . I'm such a daddy's girl now

I DO! Yes, many many happy tears were shed today for sure. My mom was so glad I told her and that I have the courage to be who I was always meant to be. I am very very lucky.

My mum has been my biggest supporter - even when she drives me nuts..

Yeah dads really can surprise you. I don't remember mine being mean to me but he admitted he was and cruel at times in the past. But from what I know now and from like college up I have always been daddy's girl and I know he loves me so much. At some point I think it's going to click with your dad too. He said he clicked when he finally noticed and saw a girl he knew he had to help look after me. Will most likely be the same for you too love :)

Thanks for your unique perspective, I really hadn't considered the possibility of what it might be like if/when he comes around. I am kind of close with him, but I just don't know the what the outcome will be. I can see it going either way. But, it is getting closer to the time when I find out so we shall see.

That's awesome Olivia! I'm glad your mother is so supportive. Who knows your dad might actually surprise you. You never really know how someone will respond until you tell them.  :)

so happy for you. i know how hard it is wondering what reaction you'll get, and how great it feels when that reaction winds up being positive. I still have two people left on my list too.
