I am building myself to coming out. I am a bit scared. I want to be accepted as female. What have been other peoples experience of coming out?

Delyth Anne, there is a topic about this subject on the front page of this board. Also, we have an entire forum dedicated to the subject of coming out.
It is normal to be scared.

Alot of people were accepting in the long run but the first three years were hell. Only one person accepted me. Parents admitted to me that Borg of them brothers and sisters and staff at school plus most other students all hated me and said awful stuff . But as an adult most people accept me. Some will still treat me as a guy though

Surprisingly good. I've had ONE bad reaction, years ago, from my father. That's all. So far, everyone has either not cared at all, said that they already knew I would eventually say something like that, congratulated me for my courage or expressed a will to help. Sadly, no heavenly money offer from my relatively rich aunt and uncle, but that would be a very, very lucky occurrence, wouldn't it?
And ya know, I live in a not-so-populated northern city with a mayor who is currently fighting the court with money donated by the population to keep his prayers before city hall meetings. So I was somewhat afraid. But nope, I was afraid for nothing.
From what I know, MOST of the time, our fears aren't justified when it comes to coming out. I'm not saying there's absolutely no chance that you'll run into problems, but that it's probably a lot less likely than you think.

Nails dirty...associated with girls more. .

Mine went well overall. Family and friends were most accepting, just a few exceptions. Co-workers was more of a mixed reaction, but I knew what to expect going in as some were homophobic and prejudiced against anything LGBT to begin with. Bottom line: I'm happy and life goes on.
