I am a 58 year old mtf and have recently began appearing as a female full time. I am wanting to begin hrt as soon as possible. I am also finding the improvement of my self esteem a very pleasant surprise and my suicidality much less. Has anyone else experienced this?

Welcome Bobbie Nicole,
I also started as late as you, I have seen posts here and at other support forums from many of our age starting this journey. I began dressing full-time as female just a few weeks before my 59th birthday, and have started HRT just over a month ago and I couldn't be happier with finally taking the plunge into the deep end of the pool. I hope that you are able to find your happiness as well.

Welcome Bobbie,
I am glad you landed here and hope you stick around to discover all the wonderful resources and people Susans has.
I am almost 54 and consider myself a re-bloomer. Deciding to be my authentic self and forge ahead to my dreams has been a wonderful experience.
While HRT/ CHT can be wonderful, I have found great comfort in the services of a therapist that has gender experience. The combination of therapy and hormones has changes my life in many ways, wonderful ways.
Stay true to your hearts desire.
Maelen
