Ive waited and waited and waited and waited.
I did everything I was supposed to. Went and got a referral letter from my doctor, got a recommendation letter from my therapist and waited the two and a half months just to see this doctor.
Now im being told more hoops need to be jumped through first.
I have to see a different psychologist now and she gets to decide if I will be happy or not. I also dont get to see her until half way through august after waiting 2 months. then I have to reschedule another Endo appointment...
So sometime next year maybe Ill be able to start... Ill probably be dead by then so fyi.
I'm tired of waiting.

It's hard and there are probably more hoops to jump through than there should be. The waiting is frustrating, there's no denying that; I've always tried to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how frustrated I've ever been I've not let myself lose sight of that and that's always kept me going.

Erin,
Is there another Endo you can see? If you have the hrt letter, than you should be able to find an endocrinologist who will work with you. It sounds like the one you may want to re-evaluate whether this endo is right for you if they are being this conservative with hormones.
Is there a particular reason you need to see so many different doctors?

Bypass the endocrinologist. Any competent GP can follow the protocols and prescribe HRT. And order the necessary bloodwork.

Agreed - sounds like this endocrinologist is putting up barriers that you've already been through. It's not as if you're new to this entire process and have had no psychological or medical evaluations already.
Perhaps time to see another endo?
Hang in there - you're light years ahead of many of us in this process. You should be proud of how far you've come, and there's many of us here who want to see the girl you become. You'll get there! Don't let one fussy doctor destroy who you are.

Im not going to kill myself, but I feel like I'm just going to stay this horrible boy I was born as.
In my area I have exhausted all the endo's, There really isnt anyone else I can see. It seems the problem is that they dont recognize the therapist I went to and want me to do a one time visit with this new one... but I cant get into see them for another month.
And GS?

Let's say you want to run a marathon. You've spent a lot of time and energy training for it. The race gets postponed. Do you get frustrated and drop out, or do you wait?
I know it's not the same, but you've been preparing for this and taking the steps you need to take. The least you could do is not give up when you're so close, as i'm sure it means a lot to you. The "system" isn't the best, but it's the only legal way.

Hi sorry you are having such a hard time of it. at the moment. I know its hard having to wait for stuff trust me i know. i doubt i will get HRT for another 4 months at least.but you just have to stay strong. You have that strength if you didn't you wouldn't have decided to go through this in the first place. If this is what you really want then you will get there, no matter how many obsticles are put in your way.
