Is it normal to be really dizzy for the first week or so? It seems to be getting worse...

I don't recall that, Sarra, nor have I heard of it as a common complaint.

Check your blood pressure if you can get to a drug store or supermarket.  Get it checked out if it continues.

I recall headaches but not dizziness. I would get it checked out.

If you take Spiro, perfectly normal since its a blood pressure medication, it lowers you blood pressure and the body must adjust to that, it also affects electrolyte levels so take more water, and T levels which could make you feel less energetic and weaker.

Estrogen normally has a stimulant effect in the first few week you take it, heart beats faster, more shallow breathing, higher alertness, vaso dilatation of blood vessels causes headaches and increase heat exchange through the skin. When you put all this together, it can cause night sweats and difficulty to sleep (like many other stimulants like coffee). The stimulant effect subsides after awhile like when you take any other stimulant; though the vaso-dilatation remains.  Not everybody gets the same reaction, like not everybody gets stimulated by cafeine; I can drink 5 cups of coffee before bed and go to sleep right away. A friend of mine couldn't sleep more than a few hours for a month and woke up drenched, I had a few days of tossing and turning, but nothing major.

As you can see, spiro and E in the first few weeks have counteracting effects.

Not having any problems with that... I'm on a really low dose of Spiro, though. I'm gonna go to my MD and see if maybe I have an inner ear infection, since I recall being dizzy for the past 2 weeks or so.

If anyone ever experiences any adverse conditions, contact your docs right away.
