Hey there, just wanted to share my timeline with y'all. In a way I'm disappointed by the progress so far, but I keep having to remind myself that it's only a month.

Mattie, you already look good, so I'm sure that you'll be fine down the road. But might I suggest maybe tempering your expectations? I don't think that there's anything wrong with wanting to be a lovely lady who turns heads for her beauty, not for being clocked (after all, just about every human being wants to look good), but that's not why we transition, is it?

I recently saw this video interview of Dustin Hoffman talking about his decision to make Tootsie: Dustin Hoffman on TOOTSIE and his character Dorothy Michaels (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPAat-T1uhE#)

He said that he had agreed to do the movie only after a make-up and wardrobe test proved that he could be passable on the street, but he was disappointed that he was not more attractive as a woman. And then came the shattering realization that most women have to deal with the reality that they're not born with looks that conform to conventional standards of beauty, and thus do not receive the same kinds of social advantages that "beautiful" women have.

In other words, you are a woman no matter how you look, because as women, most of us are in the same boat.

Better get used to that feeling it only gets worse. And trust me your not going to see any real changes in the first month probably not the second or third either probably not for a long time. The point is I've been told I've changed I have pictures that show I've changed but when I look in the mirror all I see is a man. So don't go into this expecting to see some drastic change because your not. And to tell you the truth I barely remember any changes in the first month. I guess I started smiling more and my breast were sore but besides that I don't think I had any real changes. You'll be alright you just have to give it time.  ;)

Please don't be discouraged Mattie.

One of the first things I noticed, in the first month, was softer skin.

There are so many variables including time.  I didn't see much, if any changes early on - now we started my dosages very low and then at 3 months upped them, and I believe we're going to up them next month (will be 9 months).  I do see some changes now - hair growth is hard to tell since I try and keep it shaved; but there is some breast growth and my wife maintains my skin is softer.  But the changes were definitely subtle over time.
