Title: Breast Augmentation with HRT

Later this summer I plan on finding a therapist who I can talk to about getting on HRT. I'm looking at a lot of options, including FFS and breast augmentation. My one question though is if I were to get breast augmentation while only on HRT for a little while (say, less than a year), would the continuing growth (if there is any) from HRT deform the way my body looks with the implants? I suppose the only reason I would want to get BA would be to speed up the process of having somewhat of a more feminine pysique, but I also know that it may not be necessary if I get good results from the HRT. Thanks again for everyone who posts on here, I've already purged over much information regarding hair removal and finding a therapist this morning that I have to take a break and absorb everything I've read. Also, if anyone knows a good therapist in the New Orleans area, let me know! I'm moving down that way this coming July, and it seems there are quite a few more listed as transgender friendly than there are here in Virginia Beach. Hope every one is having an excellent day!

Personally I would allow HRT to develop things naturally then if you feel you need more then get your BA. I was pleasantly surprised and really like my natural perky "B" cups :)

I advise you to wait two-three years in order to let HRT do what it has to do. If I had jumped and did the BA right away, I would look rather ridiculous right now. I have known other t-gals to go four years nearly flat and now they are rather large, just took a bit for everything to kick in.

Thanks for your advice girls! I'll most likely wait to see what the HRT can do on its own :-)

While most of the breast volume usually comes in within 2 years for teens, for older adults, because of the declining growth hormones levels, full devellopment can take much longer. So, before 1 HRT, year, I wouldn't think about it, 2 years on a decent level HRT is the mimimum to get a decent idea. If you want to do it then, I'd got for a smaller that doesn't take you past a C in case you grow more.

I would concur with what everyone has stated here.
I may well be in for 'issues' relative to this, in the future.

I don't have anything much to add, other than I agree with everyone else. Wait at least two years after starting HRT. I also have noticed that some of my pre-op friends have had significant growth after the surgery, where they didn't have as much before. So that is something to consider, too.
Genetics and age play a difference. I'm a B cup, and I've been on hormones for almost a year. I'm 28 (although I look much, much younger... most people say 23). Your body will change a lot, and some of it depends on your frame. My shoulders went down and my hips came out, but that doesn't happen to everyone or as quickly. Luck of the draw, I guess. Although, smaller hips and broader shoulders aren't a major thing -- I know plenty of gg's that are like that, and look great even so.
Hormones might smooth out the voice, but it's good to take voice therapy if you can. You can look stunning, but voice can be a hard aspect. I have a couple of friends that have a hard time with voice, yet look great.
So, anyway, what I'm trying to say is that although breasts are good, there's a lot more to being a woman that than and passing, etc. But I'm sure you already know that. Let the HRT do it's work and you could be amazed how much it changes you.
I wouldn't bother with FFS unless it's a huge problem -- rarely have a met someone who absolutely needs FFS. Save your money and wait for the hormones to kick in, I've seen people with very male-looking faces turn into stunning women with the HRT. I think it's also recommended that you give the HRT a chance before getting FFS, anyway, to let the changes happen and things settle a bit. It's really personal choice and this is just my opinion, but HRT does change the face.
We are also often more critical of ourselves and most people don't see what we see. Yesterday, of example, one of my friends asked if I could see a beard shadow, and I couldn't. I had laser on my upper lip that day, and thought it was visible, but no one seemed to be able to see it. We see it because we tend to pay attention to it and worry that others will too (when they don't). I sometimes worry about my voice, although I've had no issues with it. One of my other friends actually got me to sing karaoke last night at a bar -- that was the first time I've ever done that before. Before I was convinced that I'd sing like a guy, but I didn't and I sounded a lot better than I thought I would, and better yet, I sounded female and even better yet, better than some of the gg's at the bar. A lesson learned -- we're never as bad looking or sounding as we think we are.
Anyway, that's my two pennies on the subject. Get the HRT, see what happens, and then go from there. You may find that you don't need/want breast augmentation and FFS once everything kicks in, or you may find that you need/want it. It's really up to you.
