Title: A singing post
Post by: MrJ on August 05, 2013, 08:10:02 PM
Hi guys,

I used to post singing clips here 2 years ago when my voice was just changing.

This is 2 years and 4 months on testosterone. How am I doing?

If any of you are musical theatre nuts like me, it's Halloween from RENT.

Oh I love Rent!  :D

Your voice sounds good, while it's slightly higher (? I don't think higher is the word I want but I can't think of the correct word) than what I normally think of for a cis-male, I wouldn't think that you were trans just from hearing your singing voice.

Your voice sounds great! It is a little high but still male and you still sound really good!  :)

You sure can sing  :D I think you sound awfully similar to some actor guy (i cannot put a name to his face) when he sings; flamboyant.

Thanks guys. I've been singing my whole life. As a girl, I had a bunch of years of musical theatre training, and then when I came to university I had a year of classical training, but since I've transitioned I've only had a few scattered lessons and with no one who knows what to do with a trans voice. So I am pretty comfortable with my male voice, as I built it myself, but there are a few things I wish it could do, like sing higher notes - I may have a high sound, but I'm a baritone in range.
