Anyone else watch this and is excited, but waiting patiently for season 2? It looks like my favourite character might die though.

Yes, been watching it since it started! They were a brutal lot, I relate ethnically and mentally. My other hat has horns.

Of course i watch it as well  :P I had no idea a trailer was up for the second season. I am disappointed with the trailer as they seem to have spoiled a major characters death :/ He is my favourite character too  :(

It does look like a spoiler. I'm hoping either the trailer will turn out to not be accurate or Floki will escape somehow.

It looks like he definitely got stabbed but was whacked with some sort of stick. He could survive  :-\. I am not fussed if he dies as i think shows should kill characters off more often. It was a shock when the Earl was killed. I am just disappointed the trailer has spoiled a big scene, even if Floki doesn't die.

I have yet to watch it as well but the trailer makes it look interesting.

I put a spoiler warning. Sorry it's late. I'm curious as to how he gets out of it. Plus, how will Ragnar and his group react? I mean, Rollo used to be one of them.

Loki has magical powers, I suspect he'll make it. Meanwhile I've always suspected that Rollo would pull something on Ragnar. It was always evident that he was Jealous and full of envy over Ragnar's successes. Another one I watch is "Suits" on USA network.

While it would be interesting if Loki saved Floki or if Floki turned out to be Loki, I doubt that's going to happen. Any supernatural elements have so far have been ambiguous. As for Rollo, we all know he'll later become a HUGE deal to history.

Eurgh, Vikings. And to think that they have a great deal to do with English heritage.

I'm not up on Viking history, other than the more recent where the Icelanders economy tanked and their currency was devalued. They decided to get out of International banking and return to fishing and were seen dynamiting their expensive cars and trucks rather than let the Repo man get them. That behavior seemed to be in such historic Viking form!  ;D  :D

Oh! It's pretty fascinating. Rollo was the first founder and ruler of Normandy. The English royal family since (and including) William the conquerer are his descendants. Ragnar is a legendary Norse hero although it's uncertain how much of the stories about him are real (I think). His sons are also famous.

I looked into the history late last night. To my surprise, Ragnar and Rollo are not even brothers. I wonder if they figure that out  :P Or maybe Ragnar says, 'You are no longer my brother'. >.<

I was going to mentioned originally how this show is kind of a substitute for Spartacus  ;D

Spartacus is fantastic. I like it better than Vikings, that's for sure. I cried when i heard Any Whitfield (formerly played Spartacus) had passed away  :(
