Well I just wanted to share a little about where I am and how its been going. Moved into a really cute apt about a month ago, this after my partner of 13.5 years decided that she could'nt continue in our relationship. To be fair after that long me being transgender wasn't our only problem lol. Had the talk with my almost 20yr old daughter and again she proved to be mine and is super supportive and loving! Told HR at work, have a meeting this week with the head honcho to decide how best to train other managers on sensitivity and awareness ( wasn't looking to be the postergirl but someones got to), most everyone i work with knows and or has seen me in off hours situations dressed. Finally changed my name on Facebook, which garnered nothing but love and support and led to some great phone calls and conversations with people from my past and across the country. Played a outdoor fest with my band to almost the whole music community here where i live and my singer introduced me as Kristen, yay! so all in all pretty good.
I'll admit I still have anxiety and regrets with the loss of my partner is never easy. I do however feel like the best is yet to come, I wholeheartedly do not regret finally being honest to myself and others. 3 months on HRT is feeling wonderful. So if your reading this and are posting all the questions and fears we all have had, dont be scared! You can do it! Be proud of who you were and even prouder of who you are!
Thanks for reading and have a super day!

Hi, sorry you lost your partner, unfortunately there is collateral damage in transition. Sounds like you are a lovable person as you have most of the people that mattered still in your life, most importantly your daughter and working with your employer to prepare the way for Kristen. All your hard work is falling in to place for you. Congrats on your bachelorette pad & starting your journey on hrt.
All the best to you.
Jamie
All the best to you.
