Hello everyone!
My name is Chrystal (not legally.. For now). I've always loved that name for some reason.
As for my life story, it all began from my earliest memory as a child. I was 3 years old and I remember asking my mom if I could wear my friend's pink princess dress. She said yes so I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror. I knew something was not right. My brothers friend made fun of me and from then on I was known as "the girly boy".
I could tell you many stories of when I was little that make sense now. I played Barbies, and I would always imagine myself being the girl. I dressed in my sisters clothes, wore my shirt for long hair, and wished that I had long acrylic nails like my mom. I always played with girls and wanted to be a hair stylist when I grew up.
As I got older, I saw that society wouldn't accept how I acted. So I tried to stuff it all down. When I was 13 or 14 in middle school, I came out to everyone (including my family) that I was gay. I knew that I liked boys since I was 11 or 12. My family took it well and are very supportive to this day.
When my mom wasn't home, I would put her makeup on and even experimented with my step sisters clothes. My mom caught me a few times but didn't think much of it. I started to watch YouTube videos of transgendered women and watched makeup videos and fashion stuff. 6-7 months ago I started questioning why I was watching these videos... And I dawned on me that I was watching them becuase I wanted to be like them! I told my parents what was going on and they said that everything was going to be ok and that they loved me no matter what gender I was. So I started playing around with makeup and wearing a girly shirt around the house and carrying a purse around to see what it felt like. To this day I still haven't changed and I'm really wanting to talk to a gender specialist so I can start HRT. I've talked to people and everyone says that I should wait. And I agree with them.

Ollo Chrystal. I don't know why, but I really like that name. Thanks for sharing some tales of what you were like when you were younger. It is lovely to hear your family don't care and support you. Perhaps you could start looking into seeing a gender specialist prior to your birthday? xD. I look forward to seeing you around :]

I think talking to a Gender Therapist is a great idea if not for anything to see where you fit in the list (WPATH standards). It will also give you the options needed to move forward if you must or not. And as for telling anyone i would kinda keep things personal until you are ready. I always say never let the genie out of the bottle because once it out you can never put it back.
