Title: Need help deciding if i should start HRT
Post by: Sarah on August 21, 2013, 04:23:51 AM
Hi Everyone :icon_wave:

I have been asked by my psych to seriously consider why I should go through with HRT, i.e. what could possibly stop me with starting. This is because I am hell bent on starting at the mo but have not considered why I shouldn't. He said that I should ask some friends that know or put the question to a forum if I needed help.

Have a look at my introduction page it explains pretty well where I am at the mo - https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,146754.msg1204668.html#msg1204668

Also I have already considered cost, but the Australian Defence Force is of the opinion that gender identity disorder is a condition, not unlike depression or the like, and they have a responsibility to cover this as they would depression. This is because this affects my ability to perform in my job however does not merit ignoring since as a member of the ADF I CANNOT receive private health cover by companies like MEDICARE, as such all costs are covered.

So please if I could get some help and please dont feel like your being mean or rude i'm a big girl and I know it will be constructive

Hugs
Andria
