Title: Confused and excited

I have a few things to cover, so I'll try and make this as brief as possible. I'm 33 years old, but look like I'm in my 20s (or so I've been told quite a few times) I was wondering if anyone else here knew they were male for this long but life has gotten in the way of any kind of transformation? My family are extremely judgmental. I think the only person who would understand if I decided to be who I feel like being would be my mom. I don't know, I'm sorry this introduction is so scattered but I feel like I want to do something...I'm tired of hiding behind this physical mask that people expect me to uphold. I want to transform, I want to be with someone who understands me, I want to feel like I belong in my body. I just...want to be me. I hope I can make some friends here, we'll see where this goes I guess. Peace and love x

Hey Nicole and welcome =]. I have heard of others in a similar situation to yourself. Those where life has gotten in the way, and even those that have judgmental families and friends. I really hope things work out for you. You have came to the right place!

One of the main questions I have is (and please forgive me if I sound naive or uneducated about all of this, because I can admit that I am both lol) am I too old to transform if I decide to do that? I've gone through puberty, I don't have any kids but my body is quite...hourglass shaped...I don't know, I'm sorry if I sound weird but I've been on the Internet all day trying to weigh the pros and the cons and from what I've seen, most ftm's start at a much younger age...

We have some members transitioning in their 60s and 70s. Your main hurdle may be finding a doctor who understands the needs of older transitioners.
