Yes, a small pun intended with the subject....

Shortly after starting HRT, I've been mostly using sports bras. They're comfortable, and more importantly, keep my nipples from rubbing on anything. Going bra-less just wasn't possible without the smoothest of fabrics... Oh the pain!  >:-)

Anyway, every week or so I've been checking how well I fill an A cup bra. The plan was, as soon as I could fill one properly, I'd mostly throw the sports bras away and just use normal bras. Understanding that normal bras in an A cup are pretty much all padded, and therefore tend to show my girls off somewhat. Sports bras tend to flatten and hide them somewhat.

Well, today was the day. Tried on my 14A bra... A perfect fit, and filled it fully :D :D :D.

So YAY! A-cup boobs after ~5 months HRT. And YAY, no more hiding them  >:-)  >:-)  >:-)

Of course this does make things slightly more awkward in the office as I still work boy-mode, but I just don't care. And it's only a few months until I'll be Samantha there too. :)

When I reached A cup (got D's now) I also left the sports bra's in the dust and starting wearing regular type bra.

How very fun to finally have real feminine boobs.  I like sports bras for comfort and find there are wonderful adjustments to consider with this newer anatomy.  I sleep in a different position to keep from squishing myself and still bump "the girls" occasionally on doorways or with my own arms.  Ciswomen friends ask why I am so happy about wearing that contraption, a bra, but there is nothing like waiting a lifetime for such validation.  It sounds like you too are having a good time in transition.  Change like this feels great!

Sleeping did become an issue to begin with. All my life I'd been a tummy sleeper, but that wasn't possible any longer after just a few weeks of HRT. I learned sleep on my side with my teddy bear held close between my boobs. Seems to keep everything nice and secure :).

Transition is a funny thing... Before I started, thinking ahead always properly terrified me in terms of how the world sees me. I lost so many hours of sleep over that type of fear. Yet the further along I go, the easier it seems to get. I'm not sure how this works exactly, but the happier and more relaxed I am with myself, the easier fitting in and dealing with the rest of the world seems to be. I must look pretty strange, and only really present androgynous. So I don't know how, but it works.  :)  ;D

Oh that lucky teddy bear!  I have experienced much of what you described when fear ruled my world.  I had a visions of being the bride of Frankenstein with villagers chasing me with pitchforks and torches.  My reality turned our to be 180 degrees different as I had nearly universal support and rare hassles.  Yes, it keeps getting easier for me too.  I simply did not use a public restroom or would ask a woman friend to go in with me.  Now I feel so confident that it borders on cocky;-)  Every step for me has been validation and a sense of feeling right where I belong.  I don't know how it all works either and like you I imagine I look strange at best to some.  I used to think that all trans people had those binary goals of being a man or woman and it was a further block to self acceptance.

That statement of yours seems key.  No matter what we do if we are happy and relaxed people pick up on those positive vibes and are more likely to respond in kind.  Good for you!

Yeah, I learned to appreciate the peacefulness of sleeping while lying on my back.
