As the title say it all. Today I missed a perfect chance to come out to not only my sister, but my parents.
My mom asked me "What been bugging me" and I sort of shrugged it off. Yet she continued and went on about how I need to get out and meet someone, my sister chimed in and so did my dad. Sister started saying how she was going sign me up to eharmony or something, basically all of them embarrassing me to no end. My mom said at one point, "Well something been bugging you since turning 30"
I wanted to just come out and say it, it was there at the tip of my tongue - but it just wouldn't come out . It bugs me, since I know they are worried about me - but honestly telling them also feels like it won't change that....
blaaaaah.... :-\

don't cry over spilled milk! :) you can still go to them... and say 'hey remember how you asked me earlier what was wrong? well there is something but i'm really afraid of your reaction and it's not easy for me to say, do you think you can not overreact if I tell you?" or whatever you feel comfortable saying ^^
That sounds like an easier way to do it, actually. Tell them you didn't want to talk about it in a group and go to each of them individually.

Worry not, little sister.
T'will come a time when it will burst forth from your lips unbidden. The pain of concealment will be overpowered by the need to communicate.
Actually the hardest part is saying that first word. Once said, the rest will tumble out as a river down a waterfall.
We've all been there. It will be alright. And once you explain you will feel so much better and empowered!

I agree with everyone else. You always have the future to think about.

Thanks everyone, and I know I just felt sorta bad to let a decent opportunity slip by, feeling better if anything I gave them something to ponder on...
