I smoked a brisket and some venison sausage. Made potato salad and baked beans to finish off the meal. First time in a while I have felt up to firing up the pit. ..the days are looking better!!

Mmm, smoked brisket. :) Did you do it "low and slow"?
I just did hamburgers, as it was dreadfully hot here, and I really did not feel like cooking.
But watermelon in ice in the Coleman cooler was nice.

Always low and slow for brisket..3hrs of smoke at 200 and wrapped for another 3 at 250. It was 98 here all weekend. The taste was well worth it though:)

That's the way to do it! I bet it was good. I have not done a brisket in the smoker in some time.
