Title: Finally starting! (kinda) Yay!
Post by: Shodan on September 12, 2013, 11:33:42 AM
Okay. So, my Endo is awesome. Let's just preface that. After I got my labs back, I found out that I was just natrually low-t high-e for a male. Unfortunately, my diabetes is ... well ... uncontrolled to put it mildly. So she's putting me on Spiro and is holding off on E until I can get my sugars under control. I've got another appointment with her in three weeks and hopefully I can do it. Since I've started, my nipples have been sore. I can't tell if that's just wishful thinking on my part or if something's actually happening. :P

Yes sir!

I'm working on it. I let it slide when I came out earlier this year and got all depressed and suicidal. (It also didn't help that my PCP up and moved to North Carolina) and I ran out of meds. Fortunately, my Endo refilled my prescription and I haven't fallen off the wagon, so here's hoping I get my sugars down to an acceptable level.

Congratulations.

I read sugarbusters and lost 145 lbs. I now manage my diabetes through diet and exercise. They wanted my feet 15 years ago. Now I have mostly pink feet. They use to be gray, brown and black. My legs use to be brown from capillary damage.

Then again I drank whiskey and 84 bears a week ( 2 30 packs and a 24 pack). I kicked it with some antihistamines for a nice level of numb.

The trick is to keep your liver empty enough to accept sugars and not allow any to over fill it. Low glycemic index is a key.

Breakfast- granola, raisins and apple.
Lunch - salad, apple if wanted
Dinner- sweat potato with onion, black pepper and olive oil, brown rice ( small portion) and baked chicken (1/4 breast).

Snacks, fruit and vegies.

Walk at lunch and at night. Soon I will put on my 40 lbm pack when I walk (wife will not let me wear the pack unless covered up).
