Title: sent in the wrong direction :(
Post by: Brody Brown on September 16, 2013, 05:46:44 PM
:icon_suspicious: Hi all.  Went to what was suppose to be my 'endo' appointment today and turns out that hes a 'family' doctor and i had to become a patient of his in  order to get his help with my 'T'.  So that turned out crappy because well i don't want him as my doctor i just want my T.  then to make matters worse we got a stupid parking ticket which we don't have money to pay for, argh!!! so today was lousy...good part we had a wonderful dinner out me and my beautiful fiance, but then a cat, i think its a tabby cat (it kinda blended with the leaves) is stuck in a tree but apparently im the only one who can see it.  weird yea, can you say 'Truman show'? uhuh, thats what i thought too. anyways. hope all is well, tommorrow is a new day.  :icon_invision:

Yeah if you liked your current doctor and thought this was an endo?

But it isn't bad at all to have your T prescribing doctor be the same as your general practitioner. They know the bad effects of T and can really monitor you well. I didn't go about doing this (and liked my current doctor) but I REALLY love my doctor prescribing the T. She's awesome and can even get me to do a pelvic and not have me freak out. She's totally trans friendly has double digit trans patients and I think would be sorry if they all weren't trans.
So maybe you turned down this sort of thing.

I think people are misunderstanding what he is saying. He was told that the person he was going to see was an "endo", only to find out that he was not and wanted Brody to leave his current doctor so that he could be Brody's family doctor and he could get Brody a referral to a "endo". But since Brody's current family doctor knows everything about him, and would gladly do a referral to an "endo" why would he change doctors??

It all makes sense now.  Thanks for translating!

Well I understood that he thought he was going to an endo, not that his doctor would prescribe T for him. Some general practitioners do not feel comfortable doing so. I don't quite know if the doctor represented himself as an endo or just if he thought it was an endo and he wasn't. But I had no idea his general practitioner was willing, as why would he have gone to this doctor in the first place? That said a lot of people get their T from an endo and it makes sense to do this.

But I did now Brody is happy with his doctor. I was pointing out the benefits of having a general practice doctor who is able to prescribe T.

Could you ask your current Dr for T? I know there are people that do that.
