Title: Binding in warm weather
Post by: Proton on September 28, 2013, 03:07:53 PM
I own a Tri-top, which I like a lot, but I live in Rio and binding last summer was bad. Not as bad as not binding at all, but still pretty damn uncomfortable. I have a small chest, but I going out with just sports bras makes me feel awful, so that's not an option.

Any suggestions of binders that are good for high temperatures and humidity? Thanks!

It is hot where I live. I simply had to deal with binding for a very long time.  Even was in the ocean with friends with two tshirts on and binding - looking back at the pictures at myself in a full on tshirt and everyone else bathing suits and such, but such is life for as long as you have to deal with it. I live in New Mexico which is desert, so I get the idea that it is not humid like Rio. But it still was pretty miserable this summer, I won't lie. Some people wear t-shirts under their binder or some other layer. I just could not bring myself to do this.

Yeah, summers in high temperatures can be awful, regardless of humidity.

I've heard of those alternatives, but it seems to me like it would be even worse breathability. Looking around I found out they have a "high ventilation" section on the Love Boat website. I'll probably buy one of those and see if they help.

Well I have an AirMax (pull over). It's nice and I think the mesh back is useful. But it still is a binder, if you get my drift.
