This is something I can't find any information on at all. I want to know, can you wipe yourself 1 or weeks post op. I have people that will be taking care of me, but they don't want to wipe my butt!
Thanks!
Thanks!

^Ditto. I was up and about within a few hours and could use the bathroom/wipe myself/wash my hair in the sink, etc. Just be gentle with yourself and it'll be fine.

If you think things might be iffy, you can try to get a reach extender for bathroom use.

Thanks all!
I'll see how it goes, but I NEVER see people talk about this so I thought I'd ask.

The only bathroom issue I had was when I had my drains still in. It wasn't a big issue I was just carrying my drains and found it too difficult to grab toilet paper and tear it off with only one hand. The roll at the hospital was pretty far back from the toilet so it required a fair reach.
I had to main a point to either hang my drains (they had cable ties attached) or grab the roll of toilet paper before sitting down.
I agree with Elijah, get moist wipes. I use them regularly anyway but they are also useful in the early days when it is too hard to shower.
