Title: Estrogen & Constipation
Post by: paxi1334 on October 05, 2013, 11:50:43 AM
Hi. I'm wondering if I'm the only one who has noticed a link between estradiol HRT and increased constipation.  This was never an issue before HRT (hence why I don't blame it on diet) and am wondering if others experience this or if it just my weird body... being weird.  I've looked around the internet and have gotten contradictory ideas (estrogen being too high v.s. being too low) and something about estrogen staying in the bowels & getting re-absorbed.  So, I apologize for bringing up a sensitive personal topic but am wondering if others in my shoes experience this & if so, if there has been any way to address the issue.  Thanks.

I have not experienced it. Spiro does make me have to drink a lot of water, though.

I never experienced constipation but would cycle with some bloating cramping and nausea

It's more likely to be spiro than estrodol.

No problems noted. But, I drink a lot of water because Spiro is a diuretic.
