Title: Underwear/gaff
Post by: Harlow on October 15, 2013, 01:40:34 PM
Hello,

I searched for this and didn't find anything but the preference for types thread.

I have been wearing french cut mens underwear for years as a guy, mainly bought from undergear.com pretty much like these ones http://www.undergear.com/UNDERGEAR%C2%AE-Greek-Brief/AC23_S_BLACK,default,pd.html?start=23&cgid=underwear-bikinis&prefn1=color&prefv1=Black (http://www.undergear.com/UNDERGEAR%C2%AE-Greek-Brief/AC23_S_BLACK,default,pd.html?start=23&cgid=underwear-bikinis&prefn1=color&prefv1=Black)

Which are great but they do nothing to flatten or tuck my front side. I saw a few pairs of "gaff" underwear on amazon.com but was a bit iffy about them and they were expensive. I was wondering if there is a better product out there that isn't too expensive. I've been wearing jegging's a lot and I can only wear them with oversized sweaters due to this. When it gets too warm I'm a little screwed as I don't want to look like some 70's rock band guy with way too tight pants and a porno buldge  :embarrassed:

Have you been here? http://susans.org/wiki/Tucking_and_taping

There's a homemade version that's practically free. Hugs, Devlyn

Not sure if this'll help, but...

I've been using the two panties trick (one pair too small by a size, one pair just right). It keeps me under control 95% of the time. My biggest problems down there are (1) being pretty small to start with (when it shrinks a bit, it comes untucked) and (2) moisture. I was using tissue to keep moisture down, but then #1 started happening very often.

I was going to look for more options, but I'm going to just try not using paper for now.

Thank you, I've done these in the past. Best tutorial I've seen for them though. I was just hoping for some magical all in one pair!

Not to be TMI but I have the opposite problem  :embarrassed:

I just do the two pairs of panties trick, just put on two pairs of snug fitting panties, tuck it, and finish getting dressed. It works great for me, I've even stripped down to my undies in front of other girls in the bathroom at work, and no problem. If you're tucked properly it should be pretty flat looking even in just the panties.

2 pairs, good idea! I will try that :)

It's Misty Maven!! :D

I do have one of those, not the most comfortable to wear though. I used to put up with it when I did drag years ago, but for everyday use I'm looking for something a little more comfortable.

They do work very well though, no oops' with those on ;)

I make my own using the elastic waist band cut from a pair of tights and the top part of a tube sock. Very cheap, quick and easy but gives a perfectly feminine 'mound' with soft underside, my cis female friends can't believe how real it looks and feels.. I'll see if I can find an online guide to show how to make them.

*edit* just seen the video has already been posted, it didn't load on my first first time round lol

I have done the gaff thing previously. I tried the other methods as well. Did not much care for them. The engineer in me says there needs to be a better way. Just need to apply the proper pressure at the proper spot. Hmmmmm..... I need to noodle on this more.

I share your problem of having a fair bit to deal with down there. There seems to be no single solution for folks like us. I find it best to vary the method according to the garment. With some things a Vicky's Secrets control panty works fine. The Susan's Wiki method works as doe's Barbie's method of double small panties. But I find it best to check the method with the look.

With skirts you just need to make sure the front smoothes out well and the volume can be down between the legs a bit. Tighter pants and leggings are the trickiest. You might find it best to avoid them altogether, but try different things.

Hope I'm not to late to offer some advice-I've found a system that works quite well for me.  First, I tuck inside a pair of plain cotton panties (tight is best, but anything works fine).  Then, I put the gaff on over that.  It does a lot to reduce the "mound" effect, and it holds a lot longer than the double-panty technique.  I've found that given the, um, mass of what I need to hold in place, this is the best technique.  It's completely painless-it gets a bit hot in the summer, but it's not a huge payoff if you ask me.  Best of luck!

Some really good ideas girls!

I've been doing the control top pantyhose thing for now. I do wear "jeggings" and that is why I posted about this problem. And as Lyric stated that is a tricky piece of clothing to pull off. I wear long cami's which helps cover too, but of course with movement the cami rides up a lot.

So far so good with the CT pantyhose and more comfortable then the tube sock gaff. At least I feel like I'm wearing closer to normal underwear and not a contraption XD

I think that is what it comes down to with the gaff, it works great it just feels like a contraption and I rather just feel like I'm wearing underwear  :)

I just use KT Tape from a sports store. Super comfy, waterproof and stretches a little while always staying in place. I can go to the bathroom, no problem too.
