For a while now, I've gone by the name jessie, jess, Jessica, but outside of online forums, im know as my birth name.
while i like jessie, i am considering a change. Im writing a book in which one of the names is a young woman named nwahs. (pronounced "Nosh") im just wondering what you guys think of the name. I kinda like it.
Any thoughts?

I love the name Jessica! It's on my possible name lists, so you have my vote! :D
Do what you want and choose the name that suits you, but I'm not a fan of Jessie (too unisex for me) and Jess is only a nickname. Just my opinion. Find what works for you!
Good luck and let us know when you decide. :)

Well one thing is fir sure, its unique. Plus the fact that i miss my father who struggled to not just come to terms with it, but also to stay in contact with me. Maybe its my way to to hinor him. Idk

No one will be able to pronounce it except for you!
Is that a good thing?

^This.
I have an awkward surname which is difficult to spell or pronounce. I've spent my entire life having to spell the darn thing out every single time I tell anyone my name, especially on the phone. Ain't nobody got time for that. ;)
Jessie sounds nice, but I agree that it is pretty androgynous. Also (I hate to say this) it's a Scottish slur for a homosexual man.

nobody can write my family right, except those who've had it spelled out to them.
it gets annoying very soon. especially when they get it wrong despite my efforts to spell it over the phone.
not that i'd change this name, i love it, and it's unique. but i would prefer something slightly easier for a first name.
