hi everyone ,
                  my name is lexis , im a 42 yr. old mtf transgender . i been on hrt now for seven months & im proudly to say im pure female inside & now feel as i was always meant to feel . i dont feel ashamed of things , i dont feel like i wanna jump off a bridge anymore & most of all i feel normal for the first time in my life . i do feel scared & alone at times because i have no one to talk to that gives me the support that i need . i know its not something you can do alone . i thought id join this site in hopes to get the support that i need so i can work up the courage to come out more .

Feeling somewhat alone is only natural during transition-but that makes you all the more brave for doing it! ::hugs::
I only joined the other day but this is a really great site for meeting people and getting all the support you need :)

hi lexi! welcome to susans. if you haven't been "lurking" around, let me tell you that this place is full of support! the forums are great, and I really love the chat. i've made quite a few great friends on there!

I have been on hrt for about 11 months now, and i totally understand the loneliness you are feeling. i also understand the not feeling ashamed, and feeling pure female inside. to me it feels like i am finally living, that i can finally feel.

Hi Lexi!

Yes, this can be a lonely path we walk, because people near and dear to us suddenly abandon us when they find out our truth. I am experiencing this in my own life right now.

There are *SO* many kind and caring people here that are willing to lend an ear if you need them, because they have been down the same road too.

                 oh my god thank you so much for all the support . everyone has me crying now lol , more support here in a few hours i have joined then i had since everyone i know that knows about me lol . i thank everyone for welcoming me to susans place & im already comfortable with everyone . is anyone from new york ?

to all my new friends , im not sure how to get to chats . it said something about a plug in which i did & it still dont let me in . i just wanted to get that out there so you know why you wont find me on chat . is there any way to send anyone a private message on here ?

Hey Girl! :)

Yes you can send and receive PM but only after you've had 15 posts. I believe this is to discourage trolls or spammers from just creating an account to harass us. As for the chats, I haven't used them much myself, but it didn't work for me until I updated my Java or whatever. Hopefully someone more tech savvy than I will see this and be of more help!

Also, you've already returned the favor by being here! You never know when your presence is going to motivate someone. :)

hey shaina i tried to update java as well . it says its installed but still the same & i stink when it comes to knowing things other than signing in lol . yes ! im way behind lol

             thanks for your support & with all the help i have had already i feel im already in the state of happiness ( the susans place ) state lol . maybe someone can be kind enough to walk me through on how to post a photo up . i have a digital cam. with the sd card . i dont know what to do from there . i have never posted a photo because of what people may say but i see im safe here .

Hopefully once you get situated with your new family here and get to meet all your new sisters, hopefully your fear of being scared and loney should disappear, and you'll soon realize that you're amongst friends that are going through the same things that you are.

You were asking how to post your picture for your avatar. The best way that I would do it, is you could scan your picture and then save it on your hard drive and then when bringing it onto Susan's you just bring it up from your hard drive and viola it's there and you should have it for your avatar. You really shouldn't have any problems.

Posting an avatar really confused me at first, too! Unfortunately, you have to have 15 posts to do this as well but-as you can see-those fly by! Once you do that just go to the top of your screen, select Profile, then select Forum Profile from the drop down. That's where you can make an avatar from an uploaded photo or one of the ones provided by the site.

You're definitely safe posting a photo here!

i no longer feel scared & alone now that im where i belong . the thing that really , really bothers me is that i lost my job a few months ago & i live off my ssd from the rods in my back . i just get a little upset that im going through this & have nothing . i cant even say i like this color bra better because i cant even buy one . i just wish for things to change for the better not just for me but all of us .

We love you too :) Just to make sure we're on the same page, I was talking about the number of posts you've personally written. That has to exceed 15 to post a picture. Were you referring to the number of posts on this thread? Just trying to clear up any confusion.

          youre so right.... ever since i joined here yesterday i have had a smile talking to everyone . at first i was a little weary about my transition even though i know im a female but ever since i been on hormones for seven months i have noticed such a difference in me . not so much physically but mentally and i feel great , i feel relaxed & not stressed out as i use to be . everyone here has giving me the courage that i need .

That's really encouraging!  :) When I came out to my therapist a few months ago and have been talking about things and going full time for the New Year and every time I've seen him since, he's always seen a big smile on my face and I always have good news for him now instead of bad news, because everything is finally going my way, and I'm finally in charge of MY life as you are now in charge of YOUR life . . .  and that's to move forward into womanhood!!! :) If you want you can PM me.

Since coming here I have met more friends and received more love and support than I have in my 54 years on this planet. You have come to a good place. At Susans we understand each other, we support each other and we learn to love who we are.

                 wow ! now that i think about it , i dont have a gender issue either . i am a girl as well , a very special one at that as well as all the other beautiful girls on here .
i wish all my friends to have a very special day today as i wish for everyday . i thought of all my friends last night & it was the first time i had any sleep in three or four days . i owe it all to the great girls i meet on here .

I'm 41 and for the first time ever giving some real serious thought to transitioning. I feel like I should have a million questions for you.  ???  Yep. I probably should. (I don't. Yet.) I'm so happy for you that you no longer feel depressed or abnormal. I want that, too.  ;)
