Hi everyone, 1st post, yay! \o/ So I am a pre-HRT MtF, currently going through Gender Therapy with my psych on the Gold Coast Queensland, Australia. I was at my GP today sorting out somethings and although he is generally helpful he is also quite clueless about transitioning. We were organising my referal for an Endocrinologist, we selected one, he did the referal, I took that letter etc to the Endo, the secretary said everything was fine she'll call me back and organise the appointment bla bla. So about 2 hours later I get a phone call back from the endo himself where he said that basically he has no experience in dealing with Gender Dysphoria and altho he was very apologetic basically couldnt help me. So now my question to any Australian MtF, do you know of any Endo's on the Gold Coast/Brisbane that have experience in this? Or am I just going to have to phone around and hope for the best. Any resource or help would be great......I am being very pro-active atm and I need to get this done ASAP. Thank you :)

Hi Jacinta
and welcome to Susans! We have people come to visit us from all over the world, expressing different points of view, and you are likely to find someone to help you along your way :) Here are some important links and things to ponder as you begin your journey here.
Go to www.anzpath.org, Aussie providers are listed. In Queensland, Gale is fantastic.
Oh I'm in Adelaide.
Lots of Aussies here
Hugs

She has established the new Brisbane gender center, the anzpath site is under rebuilding, we will have a new one in the New Year! I got the front page proofs a few hours ago.
Sleepy Adelaide! In your dreams!!

Do you have her new email by any chance? I just sent her an email using her address listed on anzpath and the email returns as failed like her email isn't active or something. I triple checked it and I get the same thing every time, delivery failed. I guess I will have to phone them tomorrow....I hope that phone number is right or I am back to square one again :-\
