Hi! Yes I picked the post name Skittles because...? Well just for fun. Like me! I came by last night and I was a wall flower for a while. I did see what looked like interesting people like me, in my same age peer group. I then thought I would join the dance and hope I don't step on any toes. I will let you lead and sorry if I am a little clumsy getting into step. I read all the do's and don't pages and I think I can handle all that. Learning to navigate here is still tricky, like driving a stick shift rental car on the first day, trying to adjust the mirrors and put my lip gloss on. I won't crunch the fenders I promise! So any way, what about me???
Well I started my journey about six years ago, on the path I knew I was really on from age four. I just didn't know how to get here from there. I am full time Female, a Single Mother and I am legally me in all respects. We won't talk about "Him", he is not important anyway. He passed away, well more like faded away. I stand alone now and that's a good thing. I am a strong and worthy Woman.
I am two and a half years HRT. That is the most amazing drugs in the world! In fact the only meds I take anymore. They are all that's needed anyway. Oh sure, I have other goals for my new girl body, but heck I have to get through puberty first. I have also had to adjust to being a Lady and growing into Womanhood. I can't complain, I love pretty dresses and great challenges. Through the years I have read the main pages and articles at Susan's. They were like my Bible. I was way too scared back in the day to try the Forums, but today is my new day.
I look forward to meeting all of you, communicating, sharing smiles and hugs. I hope I am a good fit here too. Handshakes before hugs. ;D Joann

Welcome Joann! As my newest sister anything I can do for you just PM. You must realize by now you did not join a forum, but a family. This family has helped me to start transition (Month 2 HRT), supported me and been there when the emotions got a little (OK,Lot) out of whack. It is very addictive here and I find little other time for other sites. So have a good time, learn, share and vent if you need to. Since we are family and are honest with each other there is nothing to worry about as far as stepping on toes, just maintain respect for each other. You will do fine baby, you have over 8,000 family members watching your back! BIG HUG!! :)

Awww... Ok I will let others in the loop a little. LizMarie and MaryEllen are very dear to me. They have watched me grow up (a little) and blossom. All my joys, laughs and tears, I could not ask for better friends. Sometimes they just quietly shake there heads, roll their eyes and grin.
There are other friends of mine here, that shall remain nameless. Oh have mercy, if they ever gang up here and give me a roast, I will be the madness of Jody, turning on a spit! Maybe it's better they don't recount my stories. Giggle.
