Title: newfound hope:)
Post by: Kaitlin4475 on October 29, 2013, 12:10:39 PM
So I'm currently in the military and I'm deployed right now, my wife too.(lucky me right) Well we were talking and after much discussion I am going to be able to start the process of acquiring hormones and starting laser hair removal when we get back to the states. Hormones the right way of coarse, after much research I found out that if I see an off base doc and psychiatrist paying out of pocket, I can be prescribed hormones under the military's radar. It's been done by many according to outserve and other forums. This is just such a real possibility for me now, I thought I would have to wait over 3 years to start (when my enlistment is over) and by then I would be 27:( so this makes me so happy and excited. I've been ready for this my whole life. People have been able to mask the effects of HRT so why can't I? I'm in great shape so the only concern is pushups when upper body strength withers away... never scored below a 94 so I'm fine there. Has anyone else done something like this before? FTMs chime in too! Constructive criticism welcome ^-^

Hi Kaitlin! I think you are playing this very smart. I am doing a slow, methodical transition also, but for a different reason. I am doing it slow so everyone close to me can ease into it which I think builds more respect and is not a "Shock and Awe". You seem to have a very intelligent mind, and a totally cute and passable face. If you look like this before HRT, you will be a super model after. It sounds like you have a good amount of support and that is a necessity. Good luck with your transition and you have my complete support as well. Here is a BIG HUG for your day.  :)

Hopefully your breasts don't noticeably grow before you are discharged as planned.

I can bind like FTMs? I've seen bound 36DDs look flat with binding, and I doubt I would have those results :( sigh

Take a look at  Jessica B's  (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=14059) posts, she did the same thing.

Hugs, Devlyn

One thing about HRT is that your breasts will become very tender, binding will probably be uncomfortable if not painful. F2Ms bind not just conceal but also to permanently  flatten the bejesus out of their breasts... probably not an effect you're looking for! Good luck with everything though!
