Alright so my stomach started hurting while I was at school, I went to the nurse and she gave me some tums, but it didn't do jack. I went back later and she gave me some tylenol but it didn't help either, so I left. I don't know what to do now. I'm on my period but it's never hurt this much. Should I go to the doctor?

As a retired Paramedic when people used to ask us if they should have called us we said "Yes". Any time you consider going to an E.R. because something is wrong to you, go. It could be an ulcer, inflamed colon or even a gall bladder attack. If Tums did not cut it and it feels different to you call your doctor. I had a bad stomach ache in May. Tums, Phenergan or even Zofran did not work. It got worse and I went to the E.R. the next day I had immediate surgery to remove my gall bladder which was so inflamed it was affecting the surrounding tissue. Call your doctor if you can before you go though and ask if you should go. If you cant get the doctor, go anyway. Take care baby! :)

I can tell whether its usual pain for that bloody time, or whether it's a stomach ache. Stomach aches are generally higher and central, whereas that sort of pain feels deeper inside you and lower/to the sides. There's no pain like it either.

I'd recommend that you go.
I had endometriosis and ovarian cysts that would rupture every month (and then twice a month after a while), and there was no build-up for me. Just one day I was walking to class and I started seeing spots and thought I was going to pass out from the pain. I had a really bad case, though, but you should really get yourself checked out anyways. Endo is a really common disease, but you wouldn't know because it never gets talked about.

It stopped hurting yesterday and hasn't hurt since. I know I should get it checked out anyway, but it's not really my choice to make. Unfortunately.
