Title: In between binder sizes
Post by: CursedFireDean on November 06, 2013, 04:04:37 PM
Dug out a measuring tape today and measured myself for a Lesloveboat binder since it had centimeters on the tape.

And the binder I'm looking at, the Air M Long, is 71-83 cm for the small and 84-91 for the medium. My measurement came to 83.
Does anyone have suggestions/comments on going bigger or smaller?

Thanks

go bigger.
That's what I'm leaning towards, thanks for the input

Bigger, even two sizes.

General consensus seems to be bigger, so thanks guys! When I can finally order one, I'll go for the medium then!

Good on you for getting a binder!

The answer is already there, but I'm going to provide an explanation if it's needed, as nobody's done that yet.
For clarity: when in-between sizes, a bigger binder is better because there are already risks that come with binding due to the constriction a binder has on the body. It's safer to get a larger size, even if it doesn't bind as well, because those risks (broken ribs, in particular) increase if you're getting something that's too tight.

I'm sure you've already heard about that, but you asked about size so there was uncertainy over here; it's better to know why rather than just what, in any case.

Also, Loveboat binders run small.

Like others said, go bigger for safety reasons. But, depending on the binder (I've never used LLB), if it seems so big that it's not being too effective, you can always get out the sewing kit (or go to a tailor if you're comfortable with that) and have it modified to fit your exact measurements. I did that with my Underworks binders and now they fit like a glove.
