Title: Legal part of transition done

Folks,
As of last week I have a new driver licence from Vermont with my real name, real picture, and a big fat 'F' in the gender section. Court ordered name change credit cards, TSA & Airline records. Passport correction/renewal & foreign visas in process.
I'm still rubbish with makeup, and it takes me far too long to get dressed in the morning.
But I make do. I'm humbled how, every day, genetic women help me in different ways, from advice, tips & bureaucracy navigation to explaining the brake work needed on my car (have yet to see a man explain this in a way that was not condescending and cagey about essential detail).
This isn't the 'normal' path that is trod today... but it does give me the personal and professional security that I need, to better myself. I don't worry about 'passable', and perhaps never will... so I couldn't tell you and really don't care.
For the first time in my life, the future is bright and full of hope.
Cheers,
Karla
PS There's no beginning nor end to transition, in my opinion.

Karla,
Congrads on your progress with your life moving forward. All you have done is a long process but all will add more confidence to your life.
Say the path, Stay safe, Stay true to yourself.

Congrats on the progress. And I love your mindset even if I differ. As JLT1 said, we all have our own path. Hope everything continues to go well! :)

Hey Karla. Yup you sound really upbeat. And with all the help you're in fantastic shape for the future. Oh yes, makeup. I had a terrible time, but it came to me one day with almost no work, and now it's an eight minute average time from clean face to done. But then there are those days when everything is 100% fail. ???
So did you celebrate?
