So i have been off hormones for about a year now because of my lack of an income, or a limited income, and im wondering if things that changed ever go back to how they were before?

Since stopping i have noticed my boobs deflated, but my waist hasn't moved down again, my face still holds more fat especially in my cheek bones, and my thighs are still more rounded then before.

Now I'm not complaining in the slightest, but am just wondering, shouldn't all of these changes reversed by now, or am i broken, or just very lucky?

I can't answer the post-HRT questions, but if you're healthy, you're good to go. The rest is just details.

For your answer look at any post-menopausal woman.   They don't change all that much.

If you've managed to shut down T production it could be gone forever.

FTM's find that even large amounts of T don't reduce breasts by much.  As my wife put's it: "Once you've had a visit from the titty fairy, she won't take them back"

Some changes are permanent, others are not. Most of the fat distribution changes will revert, but it takes longer for them to go back. Breasts will reduce a little but won't ever go away after MTF HRT. Muscular changes will also revert given time.

If you're not taking HRT because of financial issues, you might be able to find a clinic that can help with free or minimal cost HRT. It's aways worth looking for in your state/county/country (sorry, didn't see where you're geographically located)

4 months but i naturally had a lower T level and am E sensitive, as suggested by my mild case of gynecomastia.

Just a thought, but if you are off HRT for financial reasons, I have heard that in many areas Planned Parenthood will take over prescribing them if you have a letter saying you need them, and for a very reasonable price they will supply them.

Thanks for the info, but sadly my small country city doesn't have a Planned Parenthood....hell we don't even have a mall. Only fun things we have here are a mud hole, Walmart and Ihop lol.

Don't know if that is long enough for more permanent results. I would suspect that most progress would fade over time, the boobs might stick around though. I'm no expert.

If you can take estradiol tablets, and can get a script from your old doctor, Walmart will solve your problems.

Generic estradiol tablets are on Walmart's (and several other pharmacies) list of $4 month - $10 / 90 days list.

Walmart has decent pill prices as the other poster mentioned. You might be able to find help through TransOhio?

I had already contacted TransOhio and sadly in my area they can't help....my only option is  single doctor here in my little town and since i don't have insurance im looking at $120 a visit if labs aren't done, if they are done then im looking at $150-160 out of pocket....neither of which i can afford sadly because i really hate the feeling of being trapped and hate how much stronger those feelings get when getting a shower.

I know this is slightly off topic but oh well.....hell it's so depressing when i can't even do things i normally love like swimming right now because of my stupid body...i just hope this nightmare comes to an end soon.

I'm sorry :( I don't advocate DIY medication, but as you were prescribed it before you know the dose and there are plenty of places to get them from cheaply even without a script. If you were to do something like that, I'd STRONGLY suggest you at 6 months to that doc for the $150 and get a visit and labs done and see if he will prescribe you some. That might buy you some time and prevent losing what you've gained so far.

How hard would it be for you to travel to Chicago?  I know the Chicago commuter trains get as far as South Bend.
Is there a way for you to bridge that gap? 

The Howard Brown clinic offers "informed consent" hormones on a sliding scale fee basis.

With a few phone calls you might be able to get on hormones in just a few visits.  There are hostels in Chicago where you can stay for under $36 / night.
