Title: Dr Garramone Scheduling
Post by: brayden4 on November 13, 2013, 06:57:09 PM
By February I should finally have enough money for top surgery and I'm just curious to know if anyone who has gone to him knows what the wait is like for a top surgery date. My dream would be able to get it in March but I'm wondering if it's even possible to get it a month from calling in

It seems to be one or two months out. Depends kind of on the month. I think March would be a popular month, and February wouldn't be. Any student break tends to be a very popular time.

My wait was two months.  I would suggest getting your consult soon and then scheduling right after.

Mine was also two months. I have heard of a month. I don't know how you get everything done in a month, but then I had to get the mammogram (over 35)

If you know you will have the money on time I don't see why you can't schedule months ahead. It only matters that you have it before you are cut open.

Thank you guys for all your replies. And I would go ahead and schedule ahead since I know I'll have money by Feb but at the moment I don't even have the $500 to schedule the appointment but I'm working on it

Keep in mind if you are saving money that:
1. you give him the whole amt 3 weeks before surgery.
2. They are now requiring that $400 in pathology fees goes to their office at the time of the pre-op. That used to be collected by the pathologist post surgery, but they were getting complaints of unfair amts.
3. There are all the meds and bandages and so on you pay for.

Thank you, I didn't know all of that. Ill keep that in mind. It shouldn't be a problem I just won't have any of it until the new year. I'm really hoping for March but even if not all in all I just feel blessed that I am able to get the surgery this early in transition, I know a lot guys end up having to wait years before
