Title: Egg donation

Has anyone attempted this before?
I am aware that certain hormones will need to be taken in the process - are these particularly feminising hormones? Would you need to have regular cycles to do this? I assume you must cease testosterone....? Also concerned about complications like ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome...which would make me highly dysphoric.

Looking to make some cash? You take certain medications to create a large production of eggs I believe, so that they can harvest.

There are some links in this thread, also some potential triggers and a lot of she/her pronoun usage : https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,150881.0.html

You could try. You have to meet the physical guidelines, be between two certain ages, have no major health or genetic diseases, have no history of infertility, be a nonsmoker, and have no criminal convictions to donate eggs, and the company will probably have their own set of guidelines (such as education) besides that. Find out more about their requirements if you're interested, they're pretty stict about their donors.

I had a coworker that went through this. If you make it through the screening process (which, as another poster said, is not as easy as it might sound), you're pumped full of estrogen and follicle stimulating hormones to force your ovaries into creating unnaturally large amounts of eggs for them to harvest.
She said it was very uncomfortable for her at the time and rather akin to feeling like she was constantly PMS'ing with harsher side effects. She also swears her breasts grew and I take her at her word for it.
You can be rejected for really, really basic things that she discussed with me such as:
- Not attending college/flunking out of college/a poor education history in general
- Being short
- Having acne and/or a history of acne
- Having ANY major diseases such as cancer and heart disease on either side of your family
- Being a red head
- Not having an exceptional talent (they often want to see things like artistry and musical capabilities)
- Having too low of an I.Q.
The list goes on and on.
I'm not trying to discourage you by any means, but there's a reason they pay egg donors WAY more than sperm donors.

They have a very strict screening too, but it's true. The process is much easier for them.

Yeah it's very expensive and not a sure thing the way sperm donor thing is. And you need to take huge quantities of female hormones.
Being a redhead gets you rejected! Wow! Anti-ginger sentiments are real!

I am thinking that if they are not keen on redheads and acne, they may not be so keen on the trans thing.
Just a thought.

I've considered donating eggs and made it through the very first screening process before. I didn't finish going through because it's just A LOT of work. If I was accepted after additional screenings, and if a couple decided to take my eggs (I'd have to write a profile, put up photos of myself at current age, toddler, and baby), I'd have to go daily, and then once-twice a week for injections (which can be feminizing).
Where I would donate, they only want people who are under 30 and are either in grad school or have graduate degrees. You also need very little negative medical history in your family and your own personal medical history. Where I was going to donate, you also need to be within the doctor recommended BMI range for your height.
I wrote a bit about egg donation here (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,150881.msg1256586.html#msg1256586).
Based on your post, I am assuming that you're on testosterone, and you also say something like ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome would be dysphoric for you. While this may be completely wrong, but I am just guessing that many donation sites probably wouldn't want someone who's been on testosterone because they want someone who's naturally as fertile as possible. If you're on T for awhile, it can mess with your fertility. Also, if OVS would cause you dysphoria, taking injections daily, having ultrasounds, getting eggs removed (which involves sticking a tiny little wirey thing up the vagina) would probably also cause dysphoria.
Also, donating eggs isn't quick and easy. If you make it through all the steps for acceptance (which starts with basic history of yourself and family, then onto more advanced medical history, and then in-person interview with someone at the donation center, then medical and fertility tests. . . .), you don't just donate some eggs and move on. You have to submit a profile and photos, and then wait around until a family or individual picks you out of all the other potential donors on-line. So, if you're on T now, and stop T just to donate eggs, you might be waiting around for a really long time before a family picks you.
Also, where I was going to donate, being a red-head does NOT get you rejected. They want people of all races, ethnicities, colors, eye-shapes, etc. because they want every person who needs eggs to find someone who looks like them. When you're picking eggs, you want eggs from someone who's smart and looks like they could be a member of your family.
Besides all the other stuff to consider, you need to ask yourself how long you'd be willing to get off of T for in order to do this.
Edit to add: a good site is http://weareeggdonors.com/
