Title: Holidays and addictions.
Post by: Devlyn on November 28, 2013, 11:58:57 AM
This time of year tends to be tough for those of us with substance abuse and other addictions. There's a lot of temptation and a lot of reasons to give in. If you're feeling the urges or having a tough time, don't be afraid to ask for help, here or elsewhere. Some things in life are just easier when you let others help you carry them. Be happy, be safe, be good.

Hugs, Devlyn

As another one who knows the problems that the Holidays can bring to us I agree with Devlyn totally that you I and many more need to look for ways to keep the stress from making us reach out, not for what can help us and give us life, but for that which always wanted to claim and destroy our life and that of our beloved ones.  There are even special sites online that will be having open hours for Trans* addicts, you can Google Trans* and AA/NA to find them.  Your sobriety is the best present for those around you, you may miss an extra special gift bargain, but it will be far better for the person involved to have a sober loved one.  Happy SOBER Holidays!!
