So I brought up my gender identity issues with my counselor on campus today. He asked a lot of questions which was good because it helped me to really articulate what I was feeling and voice things that I had never voiced before. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any experience dealing with dysphoria or gender identity, so he suggested I see a gender specialist in the area. It sucks because it's gonna cost money, but it's what I need so I'll suck it up. Got a reference from one of my friends who has worked with him before, so calling in the morning to set up an appointment... All of this is happening so fast and it's during exams and it's just been very anxiety-producing, so hopefully talking it out with someone will be helpful.

Don't worry.. if there's one thing I know, it's that your gender dysphoria will still be there after your exams! Better that you get an education now so that you can get a decent job and afford to transition.
