Hello all, I'm Lucjan.
I first stumbled onto these forums when I was sixteen, and now have finally gotten the courage to register at age twenty-four - or rather it's out of necessity than courage.
I suppose this is where I introduce myself a bit, eh? Sure thing!
As I said, I'm twenty-four, and an early transition trans man - out to family(supportive), and working on getting into gender therapy, after years and years of denial and self-hatred(Which I'm still carrying the baggage for). My counsellor suggested I join a community for support; something that I need all I can get of. I live in a very rural town, of not even a thousand people, and resources to help trans folks is very thin if non-existent; I'm having to travel long distances them, for example. I fear I have a long road ahead of me, as so many of us do.
I've been dealing with severe depression and anxiety for most of my life(often crippling), and it resulted recently in a suicide attempt. But, I see it as a good thing and not a bad one, for it has scared me silly enough for me to do something.
Everything is terribly overwhelming, to say the least, so things have been going slow, which I am thankful for. I have yet to push names and pronouns on my family, but the sting of 'daughter' weighs heavy on my shoulders regardless.
As for things that are not trans related: I'm a dorky nerd, who is an artist, writer and amateur game designer. Also a bit of a bookworm. I'm not athletic(Too clumsy for that), but I love a good game of Curling. I'm a cat person, an avid role-player(Tabletop and play-by-post), and a fan of flannel and plaid shirts. And also tea.
Over all, I'm glad to be here!
