So I've heard a lot of people say that they feel like their packer is their penis. I personally do own a sailor softie and it helps with my bottom dysphoria, but I don't see it as my actual penis because it lacks the detail. I do plan on getting a prosthetic after top surgery since I have decided to wait on bottom surgery until it improves. With the prosthetic, with it's detail, I believe I will feel like it is my penis. What are your views? Do you feel like your packer is your penis or just the bulge you need until bottom surgery/prosthetics?

You will find that packer or prosthetic are often used interchangeably.

For me my packer is just mental comfort I think. I don't consider it my penis, (though I do call it that sometimes) but it may be because its so unrealistic. I'm not sure really, but I know my main reason for wearing it is to ease dysphoria, but not to be my actual penis.

I personally feel that my packer (x-small Mr. Limpy) is used just for the buldge I need until I can get bottom surgery and honestly, I rarely pack with it unless I'm really dysphoric.  I have a tendency to just leave things laying around afterwards and when you have little children come into your room and ask "what is this?" (packer)....yeah lol, so it's mostly hidden and I never feel like getting it.

But yeah I don't know if I will ever get a prosthetic, mostly because of the price tag, so I'll probably just go straight for bottom surgery when I can.

I know how that goes. My sister-in-law was staying at our apartment for a few nights and I left my packer in the shower. My wife had set aside a little rack for it in the shower to let it air dry while I get ready. I heard my sister-in-law scream my name when she had gone in to get ready to shower. Needless to say that I now keep track of all my parts when she's there. lol

I don't have any lower dysphoria, but really really enjoy having the bulge so yeah I pack but I never think of it as an extension of myself or as 'my penis'

I dont ever plan on getting bottom surgery for personal reasons, but basically im happy having that natural part of me. But i am one of those people who also has a very strong attachment to my penis (packer) No matter what type of packer ive had ive always felt like it was my penis. I experience something similar to people who have lost a limb, its called phantom sensation. For me its just with my penis. I can feel everything from a tickle to very strong sexual sensations (i know that it doesnt go through erection stages, but when i become aroused it feels like im getting an erection, like full on) I feel both pleasure and pain.
There are alot of people out there who have similar feelings, but there are also alot who dont. Everyone is different.
For me, the skin tone doesnt have to be right on, its more about the feel than the appearance (though appearance is always nice) i also care more about a pack and play rather than an stp. And im ont of those few transguys who DO NOT like small packers. I feel very detached from a small packer, i cannot pack with anything smaller than 5" without experiencing extreme dysphoria.

Im also just an extremely sexual person to begin with, so this may be part of why i have these feels. My experience is not "average" but its just another perspective on this topic.

i view my packer as my dick it holds sentimental value.

LOL oh gosh.  I bet she will never look at your shower in the same way again.  :P

definitely not my penis. 

Then again I only wear it really for travel.  I would probably if I ever actually went out "on the town", or had someone to wear it for.  Alas, I do not, so it tends to stay in my drawer.

I feel pleasure, but no pain. My ex used to treat it just like a real penis and I could feel it. It was great.
I am one who prefers the x-small Mr. Limpy only because my size and it's size we just fit. I had larger packers in the beginning and never felt attached to them and they made me dysphoric. Actually wish the Sailor packer came in a smaller size...
I'm highly attached to my penis and never leave home without it.
