Susan's Place Transgender Resources

So I still have my appointment with the local Plan Parenthood for a hormone count, and someone told me that they may have the ability to approve of a transition? I'm not sure on that one cause everyone else I've heard from says they get their approvals from transgender related therapists. I dunno, would be kind of cool if I could skip the therapist thing.. They cost an arm and a leg!

Anyways, things are.. things. Been stressful. I've had to deal with nearly breaking down into tears a few times, and I did break down into tears last Friday. Was kind of embarrassing afterwords.

Anyways, I've also posted a new vlog video thing.. if anyone wants to see it it's at www.youtube.com/KadeForester.

I think I've come up with a full name for myself. Kade Nathaniel Forester. What do you guys think?

I don't think planned parenthood could provide hormones.  While they give out birth control pills (at least I think), they probably won't prescribe testosterone for someone transgender.  You could either go to therapy for hrt letters and have an endocrinologist prescribe you the meds or you could go to an informed consent clinic (if one is available in your area).  Also, you could get a gp prescribe it, but that isn't too likely. 

Sorry to hear about all the stress.  The good news is you are on the path to making improvements and being true to who you are.  It won't last forever.

My plan parenthood has a pretty big trans program apparently

Kade is a cool name and the initials would be KNF which has a nice sound to it, hugs.

Planned Parenthood may rent out space to a Doc for the Trans* clinic and share the cost of the fixed costs. Good luck!
