So I had my first laser appointment done over a month ago so I don't think that is causing it. I'm guessing it's the hormonal change, which makes sense but wow!
So my skin growing up was always oily and clear complected, it helped I lived my whole life in So. Cal where it was always warm. Then I moved up to Portland OR and my skin was oily but combo in the Winter. Since HRT though I can lather oil on my face top it off with heavy face cream and my skin soaks it up in minutes and my skin is dry again!
It is specifically in my beard area so would love to hear feedback on HRT Vs. Laser vice versa etc etc.
I use very good products too, I manage a beauty supply so I use Amino Genesis, Bioelements, clinical care etc. And my skin is parched and by noon my makeup gets flakey because my layers of lotions and creams and primers etc have all been absorbed!
Hoping it will just be a few weeks or so and my skin will get better. I'm hoping it's passing thing my skin is going through momentarily.

I found that my skin was much happier when I drank more water, but I've had lifelong dry skin (until starting T, but that's a different story) and have always had good success with Eucerin. Of course, I had lots of skin allergies as well, plus fragrance allergies, so I couldn't use a lot of the products that were out there.
Can't help you with the HRT/laser topic, I'm afraid.

you may wish to try a primer under your makeup, after the lotions have absorb some.

Pretty sure HRT will make your skin drier and less oily.

Hello from another Portlander. Spiro is a great androgen blocker, but it does dry you out. You will want to eat more juicy food, drink more water, avoid using soaps shampoos or astringents that dry your skin, and use a moisturizer containing sunblock under your foundation. Try a BB cream instead of regular foundation. 100% aloe vera gel is a nice treatment before bed. Skip any of the treatments that scratch peel or abride your skin. Use a gentle makeup remover wipe instead of a cleanser.
And be careful to not get too much potassium in your diet if you are in Spiro.
