Did the train always smell like this in the morning!? I know you are supposed to be more sensitive to body odors, but this is ridiculous! :o

Guys who do not shower in the morning just smell. However, there are some musky scents that are pleasant.

It's insane how your sense of smell intensifies. The worst are smokers, especially riding in the car ahead of you!

I'm not out at work, but I only use the women's restroom there because the smell in the guy's restroom makes me want to gag. Nobody say's a thing ;D

Yes, it really is lovely to have such a sensitive olfactory sensibility. Smells are interpreted in some of the more primitive areas of our brain and we may be unaware of how smells influence our feelings. The rich and musky smells and odors of love are delicious and, for me, now enhanced on HRT. I love how people smell and hot sweaty bodies are the bomb! Far better to me than an over dose of perfume or cologne. Breath deep!

I am loving many of the scents I am encountering. Lady Grey tea has a floral aroma!
Unfortunately, some of my favorite urban areas are now overpowering stink zones, and a room full of men makes me want to turn around and leave...
...and of course I have to realize the last one waiting for my psych appointment...

The weird (and very first effect) thing I experienced very shortly after starting hrt was the taste of the estro in my mouth at times during the day hours after I had taken it. This lasted about a month and then never came back but dam that was strange.

Had a reasonably good sense of smell to begin with but it sure did amp up initially. Don't know if it's dropped back or if I'm just used to it now.

My nose never worked well, not that I'm complaining.
Too many KFC's around which stink horribly to the point of gagging even with my dumbed down sense of smell.

I think my sense of smell has perked up a bit, but I hope it gets even better over time. It was never very good. :/ And I'm sure smoking for 8 years didn't help any.

A full room of my innermost circle cis male friends staring at my cleanly epilated silky smooth legs.
Just by looking at their eyes checking me out I can see the range of emotions going through their heads, and it's wonderful to witness their preconceived notions about gender and the intersection of their own sexuality towards a trans person kind of "give in" to what they find attractive regardless of my birth gender.
Times, they are a-changing :)
And on that note, I would definitely fancy becoming intimate with a few of them ;) A year ago prior to HRT, the thought almost repulsed me.

Today I realised that there are lots of fabulous and stylish ladies out there. I never noticed them before, probably due to being so stressed out before starting E. It has really relaxed me and allowed me to open my eyes.

My funny thing is actually sweet. My ex-wife always spoke of how much she loved the smell of my five-year-old's son's hair. Before hrt, I thought his hair, well, stunk. Now, it's my nose magnet. And at least once a week, while he is going to sleep, I lie next to him breathing in the sweet aroma of his hair and scalp. Best aroma therapy there is.

Maybe that's what's happening to me . There's always been certain perfumes I could really not understand why in the world a woman would think they smelled good enough to wear. I've been on HRT for more than 2 months and those same perfumes are bringing me to the point of leaving the room.

I react a lot more viscerally to scenes in TV shows or movies that depict violence against women (or the end result). I was never comfortable with it before but now I find it deeply unsettling. Conversely, I find myself getting a bit sentimental about stuff I would have rolled my eyes and groaned at previously. And I was really cynical about that stuff before.

Me too. A lot of things affect me differently now. That's kinda what I mean whenever I talk about having a 'perspective shift'. I'm now seeing things through the eyes of a woman, and so I react differently than I did as a 'guy'. Like, violence against women... that wasn't a part of my life before, but now it could be. Things like that can really change your thinking process, because one thing can affect another and so on.

That didn't even take HRT!! Shortly after I came OOTC to myself we had a sexual assault training (in person, with video). I was positively shaking by the end of it. Most of the guys pass it off - since it "couldn't happen to them" (not true) or because it wasn't aimed at professionals. None of the women pass that stuff off... including me - which was really weird to me and others (not that they noticed much) at the time.

I have 3 teens all going through different stages of puberty....at times the pheromones are very noticeable, its not that they are a bad smell...just a strange smell. I once had about 10 young boys in my house for a Bday party....the smell was very strong, this was the first I noticed.
I now smell a variety of smells I never noticed before, and enjoy smelling most things even if its not something that may be intended to smell lol....but I've always had that habit :)
I always enjoyed the fragrance my father wore which was Polo....I now adore it even more....

This has happened to me as well, though it's just gore/excessive violence in general that gets me, stuff like The Walking Dead evokes a much stronger response and there was even a mission in Grand Theft Auto 5 that involves torture somone you have held prisoner - that traumatised me quite a bit!

I can understand that many of you would become more sensitive but I was ALWAYS extremely bothered by gore and particularly realistic renditions of torture. I could never watch horror movies and what little I did see in my youth scarred me to this day. Torture makes me feel ill and there are a number of bizarre films that have been allowed to be released and promoted at the Hollywood level that had no business ever being made in the first place.

Here is something else which may or may not be hormonal.
I am much more sensitive to shaded of red it seems. I looked at a page I wrote on with two different pens, and that I recall thinking looked similar in color, if not exactly alike, when I wrote it ages ago. I looked at the page today, and some of the writting was vermillion, and the rest pink. Maybe the ink faded, but it got me wondering.

I was walking to my apartment and these flowers caught my eye. They were the most vibrant shade of purple I had ever seen! I had to do a lot of driving this fall too and the colors just popped! Quite wonderful. :)

Exactly the same effect here! Now I change the channel immediately and am even more confused on why violence is necessary on tv.

I do not think I am much more emotional yet. I do however, feel more free to express my emotions.
Many here talk about crying, and yes I am starting to feel that. I sobbed at a magazine article about the Glee actor who died.
But let us not overlook joy.
I am stinking happy more often. Almost to the point of annoyance. I enjoy life more. I enjoy discussion. If your opinion differs from mine, I will likely be swayed by it, if it is not dumb. I do not need to win.
While, I realize I am not as girly as many here, I know I am very much a girl.
