Title: Where would I post international transgender news stories?
Post by: mountainhun on December 30, 2013, 11:06:08 PM
Hi!  As an anthropology major, looking at other cultures is something of a specialty of mine, and I think gives a unique perspective on gender and sexuality in a wider frame of reference.  I was looking over some of the News posts in that category of the site, and I was wondering where I would post international stories about transgender people (like the hijras of India or the Brazilian travesti.)

Hello Mountain!

We love international news stories. Please see the News posting Guidelines (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,12805.0.html).

Don't post anything in the "Misc. News" board, because we're trying to empty it out by moving all the old posts into new categories.

International just goes into whatever category fits best. If it's about trans* related laws in Thailand, then post it in Political and Legal News. If it's about a queer activist in Mali, then put it in People News, and so on. If you're in any doubt, contact myself, Natasha, or Shana A (Shana A is the administrator who looks over the News section). People News has been kind of the catch-all category, so if whatever you have doesn't seem to fit well in any category, just put it in People News.
