efore I made my decision that i was finally going to be the girl I was. when I dressed it was always something tight or accentuating the positivs like my long legs. now i don't care how I am dressed as long as it goes together. and when I look at myself in the mirror I actually see myself as having some femmine qualities even though I am not on hormones.Does anyone think that sometimes your mind can control what your body is doing or am i just being a fool.

Your mind affects many things and can alter some details.

The mind does have extraordinary powers. I saw this so many times as a Paramedic I can't count them. I had people fight injuries that should have without a doubt killed them and they survived. It was almost eerie, most definitely unexplained. A good example is in BUDS classes. The abuse and demands on the bodies of SEAL candidates should kill anyone. Extremes and variance of temperatures, sleep deprivation, food deprivation and other extremes SHOULD shut the human body down cold. What gets them through, mental will to overcome! Scary what the body is capable of with the right mind set. :o Yes. I think the body can produce changes just based off of mind set. Too many examples to disprove this. :)

Happy new year sis!!!
It may be just my imagination making myself more attractively femme. But its better than feeling like an ugly guy.
Yet another reason i think hrt is right for me. ^__^

For me is something differnt :(
Ok for example , I wake up I look on the mirror and Im like "wow im gonna be fine even maybe beautiful " super happy...
and then the next time I look Im like "jesus lord what is this disgusting male thing?" and im super sad , also hormones make me cry about it too now
and the circle goes on every day,,,
wtf is wrong with me!

FalsePrincess, dont over think things, yes I have a genuraly optomistic out look on things, and i am still in the early HRT high so to speak, but there are still times i look in the mirror and am discusted at what i see looking back at me.
some times its just how we look at the mirror that makes the difforence. i dont know.

My experience was similar, Patrick. When I allowed my feminine self to come out, the changes were immense. They started before hormones.

Didn't someone once say Reality is a state of mind?
Darn if I tried but my mind refused to make me physically a girl. :P

I think when I became convinced I was and felt female, I started to behave female, and looked female even if there were no physical changes.
I feel the mind can have a strong effect on the body in this sort of way.

I think we begin to look for the things that we want to see, and know we should see, but I can't avoid the fact that there are some things which changed about me in the last year which I definitely wasn't making up. My arms and stomach have gotten hairier to the point where my girlfriend was questioning whether I was taking something black market (I'm not.) It's odd, but it happened.

Of course, there is the fact that some foods can feminize the body, like Soy Beans. :)

Not to be a downer or anything, but I think its immensely more likely that your mind is just seeing things differently than actually making things different. That's just the skeptic in me.
