Hi everyone.  I'm quite new here and new to the whole transgender thing.  My whole life I new I wanted to be a woman but just recently my eyes really opened and I realized that that dream could become a reality.  I've been experimenting alot and love me in the female form.  But now I'm totally lost.  I need your advice, those of you who have gone through the whole process.  I'm from Namibia, Africa and like I've mentioned before in another post I've never met another transgeder person in my country.  Here it is still regarded as taboo.

I want to become a woman so badly but I have no idea what to do next.   :'( I want to start HRT but know nothing about the process because I've never had any experience of how it's done etc.   ??? Only the info I've read on the internet and wikipedia.  But I want to know the step by step, day by day process.  Please help me in telling how you went through the process from the day you realized and wanted to become a female. 
What process should I follow? 
Who should I contact first? 
Where can I start HRT? Who do I need to see?  What company? 
How much did it cost?  Is it expensive?
What is needed before you can start HRT?
How long does HRT last?  A few years?  Forever?

I think my luck is out in Namibia and that South Africa is the best option to do something like this, but I cannot find any information on the internet of anyplace where I can start HRT.  I know there's alot of transgender poeple in SA but don't know how to contact any of them because I know none of them.

Anything will help because I'm quite scared at the moment...  lost.

Hello Lazandri.  I think you are the first TG/TS person I have run into from Namibia.  But we have several South Africans who post here, and who might be able to help.  I'll ask around.

That would be amazing.  If I could find out what and where they did it, it would take a load off me.  I've lived and worked in Pretoria and have family there so I just need to find out how they did it on this continent.  Thank you!

eeer try searching for a gender therapist, there has to be one , I mean south africa is such a big country :/
when you find one he most certaintly will know about trans* laws and how to get hrt...so he will inform you ...

I live in Greece and trust me this place is kinda screwed up in terms of laws etc , but there were 2 or 3 gender therapist in the capital.... sooo if I managed to do it in greece Im sure you ll be able to do it in south africa :)

just search and dont give up
finding other trans groups there will also help informing you about hrt and stuff
