Title: Ordering from Sinthetics

Hey guys, so I've noticed a few scattered posts about this company but none detailing the ordering process from start to finish. Having decided to buy, I figured it'd be a neat thing to create such a post myself. Hopefully someone will find it useful.
I'm going to be placing my order tonight for a 6" single-density hard packer in Toffee. Along with my order, I've been given the okay to send along some photographs to assist the artist in coming up with a matching color scheme. I feel like I might be overdoing it, but I'm going to be sending: 1. pictures of my skintone in comparison to the samples sent 2. a few biojunk pics that have the look I want.
So far, they've been fairly communicative, if slow. Their communications person got sick after I placed my initial order for samples. I think this may have been why they took a little over a month to arrive. Around this time last year, I ordered samples and it took about half the time (I heard they reformulated some of their colors, so I had to reorder). I asked if their average wait time of 4-6 weeks had increased and she assured me that it hadn't. Though considering all of the bad luck the team seem to be having (from illnesses to family issues and roof collapses) I'm not sure if I trust this. I've also read on here that they can get touchy when called on their lack of speed. I guess we'll see how it goes. Honestly, I waited until I was in a good place-patiencewise-to order. I wouldn't mind it taking a longer time as long as they tell me that upfront. Again, I guess we'll have to see.
One thing I do want to ask is what happens if the color begins to rub off or fade; can I send it in for professional touch ups, or will I be expected to do it myself? I've seen one example of wear so far, and the guy posted a tutorial on DIY recoloring (I'll post the link again once I find it). My reasons for ordering from Sinthetics in the first place however include NOT having to recolor my packer myself (I've found that the more I tinker with them, the harder it is for me to connect with them as "real." It's good for a hobby but not for things I'm intending to use/wear). So I hope they do free or low-cost repairs, just in case the wear issue is more significant than they let on.
I have a bit of work to finish, but afterwards, I can post pictures of the samples I received, maybe some color comparisons between the samples and some of the packers I already own?
Stay tuned.

I found this forum because I was searching the web if others also have problems with their Sinthetics order.
I was ordering a doll about 2 years ago and never got anything delivered.
They owe me $6000.
Last year Matt Krivicke offered to refund my money paid within 30 days.
As you can imagine the 30 days passed and I have got no refund and also no email answer.
I now gave the case to my jurist and he started to work on a lawsuit against Sinthetics.
They can be super sweet to bait new customers and get their money.
Then they delay delivery for always the same reasons, like employee turnover, Health problems, etc.
But at the same time they lure in new customers with super short delivery time promises.
This behavior stinks!
Don't order anything from Sinthetics without a good legal cost insurance to make sure you can fight for your money in the case they like to fool you.
Or even better don't order at all and look for a more reliably and honest manufacturer.
I hope everything will end well with your order and you don't have to face the same nightmare as I had to.
Sincerely
Oliver

I received the refund of my money today.
At least it didn't end in a financial disaster.
Sincerely
Oliver

I'm very interested in hearing about your experience with this company. I want to order a packer but I've never seen a review for their packers/attachments. Only people saying they don't receive their dolls. If there's a possibility I won't receive what I purchased I won't order at all.

I apologize for not updating sooner; working full time and starting school have taken their toll, unfortunately.
But I have placed my order. It should be another 4 or 5 weeks until I receive my product. IF I receive it on time. I'm holding out hope that such a small project won't cause as much of a delay as a full doll, but you never know.
I'll update soon with more specifics of the ordering process so far. And of course, I'll let you know what happens. They've updated the site with more details on their offerings, if you'd like to check there.

Ok hope everything turns out well. I ordered a RM prosthetic and I'm still waiting. I should be entering production soon. If anyone's interested in a review.

RM is a different thing. There is hx with this company and we know them to be reliable, however an order of a prosthetic from them takes a LONG time.

No I trust RM definitely. I wasn't saying I was skeptical about them. You know what you're getting into when you order from them.

I hope the things I'm hearing aren't true. I put a down payment on a doll. Health issues have me in the dark alone quite a bit and I want the doll as company.
I did call the company when they were slow with giving me the total it will cost. The secretary was curt, but not rude. I was told that she was the only person who worked in the office and there were very few employees. It took a few days, but they got the total to me.
If what they claim is true, that they only have three full timers and quality over quantity rules, that i can understand. When my business was up and running there were only two of us, and sometimes things just took longer. The clients knew we were giving all we had to each case, so they didn't mind the wait.
Has anyone actually bought a manikin from them? The only complaint online seems to come from one person. I'd like to hear from someone who has received a manikin.

As for a full real doll, no. Not my thing. I ordered a flaccid packer from them and posted a review on this forum a few weeks back, I'll paste the link if you're interested. I talked a short bit about my experience with them.
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,191390.0.html
They did take longer than expected with my packer, partly due to them moving facilities, but I remained patient and didn't hassle them and I had absolutely no issues with them. I can presume they get a lot of business for the few staff they have, so staying patient is the key. I think they are a good company, I think people have just been impatient in the past.

I wanted to order a Sinthetics packer and one of the play models but my girlfriend and I ended up getting something else (the ambrosia vibe) because of the long wait time and because the website set up where you order seemed kind of shady. Did you run into that at all? It's like some external site and none of the images show up. I just found that really strange and wasn't comfortable giving my info there.

Yes their ordering site is separate, it should be workshop.sinthetics or something to that effect. I ran into no issues and I didn't think the site looked shady, just not the best set up. The images showed up for me tho, that might be browser related. Anyways, they don't collect payment information there, they process payments through paypal.
