Lets get to know each other.
Lets let someone in.
Tell a truth about yourself,
And let the bonding begin.
Ill start:
Im shy when i first meet someone.
But im outgoing when i get to know you better.
Lets let someone in.
Tell a truth about yourself,
And let the bonding begin.
Ill start:
Im shy when i first meet someone.
But im outgoing when i get to know you better.

I live for folklore. Some of my favourite beings are trolls, goblins, and all sorts of other more monstrous faeries (or whatever word one wants to use).

Jeesh EMO, this is a tough one. UH.................
I have a hard time making friends. Every time I was in social situations for some reason being a Paramedic I would be appointed baby sitter or designated driver while every one else had fun. Now I resent people who get to cut loose and have fun. When I do make friends though, they are life long and I would crawl over broken glass in a salt factory in hell on the 4th of July to help them. Totally loyal to a fault. ;)

I have beaten a Grandmaster in chess.
It was a non-timed simultaneous exhibition, 40 boards as I recall, but it was cool just the same.

It is a little known fact that the very first test-tube baby was born all covered in mold, and fungus, and bacteria.

It was 1964, it was the limit at the time. But, my dad use to buy a six pack before every long drive and drink the whole way. It was the sixties, not uncommon then. Cows were always on the highway back then in rural America. Not so much now.

I did - the chess post above
The test tube baby (in vitro fertalization) post was a joke in reply to JM.
A test tube baby is made from sperm and an egg mixed outside of the womb, and later implanted in the woman as a zygote. There is no coitus involved.

Drinking before driving is bad
The limit has dropped significantly
Cows must be near extinct then

Really I was adopted. I have no idea who my parents were and everything about my adoption is sealed in the Governments red tape in Washington. All I know is my real last name. It is the one I use now and what it will be legally changed to when I change my name later, Merriman. The name Jessica came from a patient who died while I was working on her after a car crash. I found out later she did a lot of charity work and I thought her name should not die, but go on. My way of remembering her. :) Hope she doesn't mind.

When I was 19, I chugged on a half gallon of Dark Eyes vodka (after already draining a half pint by myself). I remember when I threw up later that night, it sounded like a waterfall. I had the WORST headache the next day. I never drank such an absurd amount of booze ever again.

The other day, I made some homemade split pea soup (sooo good).. however I don't think it agreed with my tummy. I was feeling sleepy afterwards and lied down on the couch with my pooch to take a nap. When I woke up a bit later, my gf asked me what I had fed my dog, cus she had been 'ripping them like crazy' (my dogs on a strictly dog food only diet cus she turns all table scraps into farts). I had to fess up that it was not my dog, but me that had been sleep farting.

But now it's probably true. I know a lot of people think they're unattractive. But it's not that I think I'm unattractive per se. It's just that no matter what I do, I am never ready to be seen and should probably just become a hermit because I'm not fit to be around people.

Not a drinker. I'm just naturally like this.
Jessica, if you don't mind me asking, what's a test tube baby?
Really I was adopted. I have no idea who my parents were and everything about my adoption is sealed in the Governments red tape in Washington. All I know is my real last name. It is the one I use now and what it will be legally changed to when I change my name later, Merriman. The name Jessica came from a patient who died while I was working on her after a car crash. I found out later she did a lot of charity work and I thought her name should not die, but go on. My way of remembering her. :) Hope she doesn't mind.

Ive come to realize my need to be female is enough to make me become healthy. Ive been drinking tea, eating fruits and just wanting to eat healthier over all in order to obtain bodily femininity.
Nothing else has given me the drive to do this.

The truth is I had a very bizarre moment two hours ago. I was in a Dollar General store behind an older cis woman with very short white hair. We started a conversation in line and when we got to the register she got sir'd and I got maam'd. OMG it was hilarious! The poor guy at the register was totally FUBARed trying to apologize. She took it well though and we all ended up having a great laugh. Guess I am doing something right! *giggle* ;D Who says Full Time can't be fun. :)

Both of my legs were so destroyed and broken that the Dr.s considered amputation. (they were really wrong, I am SO glad my bulldog of a sister was there to fend them off.)
After a day in and out of life I came back. Things have been really strange ever since.

I don't have secrets and don't really care who knows what about me. I care about what they'll do with the information, but also have an impulse problem when it comes to being social. I also don't consider anything personal and have to keep reminding myself that other people do.
I spent high school in and out of psych wards and on anti-psychotics and anti-depressants. I think spending so much a crucial part of my brain's development in places where people are open about serious stuff twisted the way I socialize because that became my normal while everyone else was learning normal normal social behaviour. It is currently still very difficult to try to act normal around people and I don't like it. Then again, I was a weird kid too, but that was because I liked fantasy and Shakespeare and stuff.
I have little to no patience for small talk and only engage it in out of politeness or because I don't know what to say.
I'm currently have feelings for an emotionally unstable, straight guy who would probably be very uncomfortable if he found out. This has brought back some of the issues I've struggled with before.
I not so secretly like it. Partially because, destructive and hurtful as it is, it does disguise itself as joy, but also for the same reason I don't like it: it is making me more unstable than usual and wreaking havoc with my mind. I wonder what it says about me that I love chaos even when it is causing me pain. I wonder if I naturally gravitate towards loving chaos or if it's kind of like stockholm syndrome. Or something. I'm probably not making sense.
I am almost completely incapable of caring about people and, quite obviously, I don't react well to caring about people. It doesn't change my behaviour since I like brains, puzzles, and people (they're interesting) and, quite honestly, it's best for other people if I don't care about them since, as mentioned above, caring about people tends to freak me and make me more unstable than usual.
I vary between thinking people would be put out if they find out I don't (can't) care about them and thinking they wouldn't want someone like me to care about them.
I wish I could be myself and hang trying to follow normal, social rules.

I was held back in first grade. They talked about a lot of issues, dyslexia being a big one. Really it's more dysgraphia which is troubles with writing. I also had problems with small motor skills so basic things like zippers, tying shoes, buttons, holding a pencil were super hard. I also had social issues. I adapted. I caught up
One of the best experiences in my life was seeing a wolf in the wild. No one else was with me.
I am very stubborn.
I do not hold grudges.

Even though I've lived in Australia all my life I don't have a typical "Aussie accent", I've had some people ask if I was from England...even a couple of English tourists I once chatted with. It's not a posh Brit accent or anything, just doesn't sound Australian.

@ christopher- Where did you see the wolf and what where you doing at the time?
I was at Yellowstone. I was leaving but told myself I was going to take my time and drive the long way out. I saw a bunch of cars and a ranger parked alongside the road. Typical mayhem there but a bit more people and cameras so I stopped. There were 4 wolves running across a meadow. They got to the woods and everyone loaded up and started driving up to the next meadow. I got in my car too but I didn't really want to be in the crowds. As I was driving out there was a creek cut in the hillside. It was pretty and you could see a long ways up and animals, especially canines, tend to stop by the water so I stopped, got out and found a place to wait and watch.
I didn't see any wolves coming and then fairly near me a wolf poked his (or her) head up from over a log. I assume the others were also nearby but I never saw the others. The wolf hid again when it saw me. And then it would poke it's head out again. I was thinking of leaving anyway becuase I didn't want to stress the wolf and then a bison came by walking up the nearby road. traffic started backing up like crazy and the bison was waaaaaaaay too close to me so I got in the car and headed out.
I was maybe 100 feet away

Felt different my whole life, unable to process it until recently. Tons of regrets like not trying in school. Not finishing college. Not finishing anything really. Completely unmotivated. If I were kicked out of my house, id probably just walk until I wasted away. I start so much but never finish. Hate my life even though I shouldn't complain. Used to deal pot for almost 5 years. Being high is about the only time I was able to stay happy. All good things must end. I have a dopamine deficiency. It's hard for me to get happy and stay happy. Underlying it all is just hopelessness and depression and the remnants of the happy individual I once was. Keep trucking for the hope that it'll get better. It always gets better right? Nope. It really doesn't. We just find better ways of dealing with it. Sorry for the depressing post. Maybe I should just keep to myself from now on.

Speaking of dopamine deficiency, that explains why I got seriously depressed on anti-psychotics. It got better for me, but that may be because I got off the anti-psychotics and anti-depressants, left my parents' house, learned some useful skills, and figured out what I value and who I really am.

We moved around a lot when I was growing up (before I was 10 the longest I stayed in any one area was about 12 months). We usually took the slow road to our destinations so I picked up some interesting stories growing up. But moving around so much did make it harder to make friends even if you would move back into the same general area. When I would tell some of these stories growing up people who didn't known my family would think I'm telling pork pies (lies), even I would struggle to believe half of them if I hadn't been there. Ask me if I would do it all again yes in a heartbeat

I spent many hours last night reading about the life of Robert Downey Jr. I'd always loved the Tony Stark character, but had no idea about Downey's own past (since I was too young when it was all going on). He's got quite the comeback story. And he's so articulate when he speaks about the problems he had and how he eventually overcame them. I've got to say, I have a lot of respect for him, and I think I have a new role model.

I'm also a push over two. Eg, I can't say no to people. If a freind asked to borrow. Ten note and I only had a five, I'd borrow five to lend them ten.
I don't like upseting people, and I feel at time I'm actually and empath of somthing. If I see someone is upset, I feel sad even if I don't know them. I feel happiest when people are happy.
I do drink and had my first bar visit a Week after my seventeenth. I also started smoking at the same time.
At the moment I spent far too much time in my room. Its not big anougth for my, prison cells are bigger.

I use technology to its limited capabilities friends like to joke I'm stuck in the previous century. I generally know how it works I just don't need those options in my life.

meee tooo!
Hate it. My friends tell me I'm like a 90 year old man. My room mate yells at me and tells me I need to update things instead of just clicking "run this time" Whatever. When it stops working I'll update it. Until then I'll leave things as they are.

@GnomeKid & Handy
Do not fret my friends when a giant EMP goes off destroying all technology we will be part of the few who survive because we do not need all the fancy toys of the modern age. :icon_idea:
1)check on lab for status report on army of flying penguins, puffin dingos and flying wombats. (Never cross a wombat at night they look all cute and cuddely but can be very vicious)
2)Finish the building of my oubliette's. (If you help me take over the world I wont dispose of you but I will put you away so you can't do the same to me)
3)Fill them with treats to show what a benevolent tyrant I am. (If you like wine there will be goon, heavy metal you get rap, vegatarian mixed grill)
4)Reserch into building and launching a giant EMP bomb >:-)
Hey a girl has to have her hobbies, all I wish for my birthday is you to do is bow down and worship me. So who is with me.
This is something I have given serious thought about and have had discussions with friends. If I had the means the world would be in my grasp. When I call friends the theme song to pinky and the brain comes up

I hate just about every thing about me. Im stuck in life, not just my transition in the inbetween world. being able to be both and none ant the same time, but also with work and family. I cant seam to get my feet under me to realy stand and streach to take those much needed steps forward.

I've wanted to delete my account here since the day I made it, but I didn't because I'm afraid I might gloss over how hard it was to transition. And no matter what healthy reasons people have for disappearing, it makes me sad when people do so. So I wander off for long periods sometimes, but I don't remove or anonymize my profile.
I have a kid in high school, and now I want to delete my account because I don't want to face teenage rejection all over again if they google me. I'm sickened by the thought that I might get jeered at when I go pick her up. It happened when she was younger, but it didn't bother me because it was just children. Somehow viciousness from teenagers still gets to me. I know it's selfish to care more about my own feelings in this than my child's, but she never seems to notice even blatant nastiness if it's just verbal.
I want to be honest and useful more than I want to be respected and accepted.

I have found that i have depression triggers from my childhood. My dad used to be really bad at verbal abuse. Hes calmed last i saw him but the words he spoke against me still hurt.
So far i havent seen my family in 4 - 5 months. My mom finally messaged me again today to tell me they moved. Im hoping theyre happy where they go.
I want to help the trans community by educating people on how we really feel and what we really go through.
I dont know how im going to do it or when ill stop being too lazy, but im hoping i can help a lot.
I am now about 4 months hrt. Im beginning to love my body in ways i didnt expect, and hate my body in ways i didnt expect. But everyone tells me im happier.

I want to go to this Japanese place in our mall just to be served by this beautiful lady. She's probably in her mid 30's or early 40's and I think she has a child. She kind of reminds me of Sailor Mars. I want to buy something just to be served by her. It would make me feel special to be served by this lady.
