So I am new here although I have browsed the forums for awhile. You may call me Blossom :D I am 24 and have been wanting to get started on my transition for far too long! Problem is I have had some pretty horrendous experiences in life over the past few years that have cost me alot of time and money! I may go farther into detail in the future but not now. But what I am wondering is how to get started on a budget I cant wait any longer, but i dont have the ability to spend lots of cash either! I'm very frightened that my income will never allow me to proceed...and thats like a very scary thought! Please tell me where to start and give me your stories of financial problems when you started!

It would really depend on where you live what programs or help there may be for you. A lot of places have cheap or sometimes even free therapy. Some places don't require you to have therapy in order to start. Maybe some more information about your specific situation might help.

Well I live in Tulsa Oklahoma which is not the easiest place to transition :( I can really only free up about $100-150 a month and I am not sure if thats going to cut it or not.

That is more spare than I have. anyway, it can be saved up for some expenses and will cover your HRT with a bit to spare.
Some therapists have a sliding scale meaning what you pay depends on income. If you have insurance, some costs may be covered in part or in full.

Try to focus on little things that make you feel better. If you take things one step at a time it won't seem as daunting.
