Title: Introductions
Post by: RydiatheSummoner on January 21, 2014, 05:53:21 PM
Hello.

Uh, never really know how to do these sort of introduction posts. You can call me Rydia. Not my real name, but I like it. I'm MTF, and ever since I was a young age I've felt this way. I live in Florida, and I'm currently in no position to begin any sort of transition. Due to money, and other factors. I was raised by a family who constantly told me that these feelings were wrong, and that I should feel ashamed for feeling them. But now that I've had time to think on it for myself, I've realized. That's rubbish.

I have a great love for photography. My mother was a photographer and she taught me a lot. I don't have the tools or resources to go professional now, but I hope one day to be able to do just that. I enjoy video games, particularly RPGs. Hence the name Rydia. I've wanted to get into sewing, and knitting, but I can't really at this time.

I, uh, suppose that's good enough for an introduction? I'm really bad at these sorry.

I wish you a sunny southern California welcome, Rydia.  :)

A lot of us have been told we were wrong, nuts, blasphemous, etc., and yet those feelings persisted.  For me, no matter how hard I tried to live a role I was ill-suited to fill, it just didn't work.

So, no guilt trips here!  You are you, and that's all there is too it sister!

A big warm welcome to the family baby! You have found perhaps the greatest treasure on the net, this family. This is a safe place to question, learn, share and find out you are far from alone in all of this. Most of us have had the same experiences growing up with this issue. Here you can feel free to rant, vent, share and find a shoulder to cry on if needed. The information you get here is invaluable as it comes directly from people at all stages of transition and they will share the do's and don't because they have lived it. You will find a different level of care, compassion, respect and some fun to give you a break from the world. Here is a BIG HUG ( :icon_hug:) to start your journey with us out right! :)

Hi Rydia :)

I have seen more than a few forums the focus of which is the journey we are on. You have come to a welcoming place of mutual support where you can feel at ease, you are among friends, you are in your community, our community.

Sydney, find the board you want to post in, and hit the "New Topic" button.  The "post" when you are finished.

You already have the "Reply" down pat!

Hi Rydia and welcome. I'm sure you will be an excellent photographer.

I like your name, too.
