Title: Where is the best place to get a binder and how do you know what size to get?

I'm looking into buying a binder but, I don't really know who's legit about getting it sent to you. And since my chest is aB cup I'm not sure what size to get??

I ordered my first binder from f2mbinders.com. I'm around your size so I got a small and it's perfect. And surprisingly it doesn't hurt. Gonna order another soon.

F2mbinders (new site for the underworks models that are more common for trans guys), lesloveboat, if you're not looking for something as powerful as the others I find gc2 compression works just as well as my underworks. People have also said good stuff about the "eBay binders".

I'm a smaller B cup but have very large muscular shoulders and chest and underworks don't fit me well at all. Too tight in the shoulders and ribs but not enough binding where I actually need it. If you don't have broad muscular shoulders and chest though, I know most people I've talked to do like them.
I tried a couple of G2 and hated them, next to no flattening even with my relatively flat chest.
Personally I like the the SHO ones on eBay and have switched to using only those. But everyone is different so you may need to try a couple different kinds to find what works best for your body type.

I used to get mine at Underworks, but the sizing was always off--I wound up needing a size smaller than their charts indicated. But I've also seen posts from a guy or two who said that this was no longer a problem. So you might be able to simply use the sizing instructions on the site (or whatever site you go to). To be sure, you might want to do an advanced search of Susan's Place (I never get good results with the regular search) and just look for "underworks" or "underworks" and "sizing" or "size" and see what guys have been saying for the last couple of years. Or just sit back and wait for responses in your own thread--you just got one that comments on sizing.
I bought only one binder the first time because I wasn't sure of the size. You can return them if they are essentially unused (if you don't mind losing what you paid for shipping). The one I bought started out just okay, but it stretched out a little and I was losing a lot of weight. So the next time I ordered, I went smaller and got two or three so that I could rotate them. Not too much after that, I was doubling them to get more compression, but that was probably because of my skin allergies--I had to buy the cotton-rich Cotton Concealers that aren't quite so powerful as the other binders. If you get one of the killer smasher models, you shouldn't need to double up.

I wear an Underworks small and I'm 5'7", close to 200 pounds, and not a small guy. I don't think you're going to need anything above a small, judging from your profile picture.

The chart they have at the underworks website (f2mbinders) seems to work pretty well. Just make sure you measure your chest carefully.

I wouldn't recommend loveboat if using your dad's money. I had a heck of time finding the right size. I got a binder for someone else (minor) from ftm binders (underworks). They were the size you would think they'd be. I think there is a size guide.
I think you should follow the size guide. If they say it's a small you go for that. If you are really small (A cup) IOW, rather on the flat side, the gc2 are really nice and inexpensive. I think you might be better off with the ftm binders just due to the fact that most people seem to like them.

Most poeple tend to go with the 997 (Ultimate chest binder) or the 983 (tri top). The measurements for sizes are not the same, so make sure you look carefully if you are going back and forth between them when deciding. Make sure you order based on measurements too, not just based on what others wear that are similar to you in size.
I wore the 983 for many years after trying probably 5 different brands (t-kingdom, lesloveboat..the more expensive ones). In the end I came back to loving the tri top.
