Title: Experiencing gradual transformation

This is pretty cool. I think it gives me a brief glimpse into what it might be like for FTMs during transition. I've heard guy's say how they're getting frustrated that nothing seems to be happening. That's because the changes are gradual. This video kind of gives an idea what it might be like to be the one who's looking into the mirror every day. There is no point in the video where the change happens. It's not like--girl, girl, girl, girl, girl, girl, girl, BOY, BOY, BOY! There does sort of seem to be a big chunk where he looks a bit androgynous on some days and more masculine on others depending on hair, clothes, etc. And there's a big chunk maybe halfway in and to the end where he's almost certainly passing at 100% or very near so. But it's not like you could easily pick one image and say that's when it starts. Maybe it can function as some encouragement for guys who feel like nothing is happening.

Note the gradual development of his Adam's Apple, starting about 0:35
And then the GF(?) in bed in the background at 1:41 LOL

Wow, yeah, nice video! At first I was like "Is there even changing anything!?" but then I looked back and CLEARLY saw difference. It also shows that the 'gender markers' in our faces are INSANELY subtle (and our clever minds work them out in tenths of a second! Wow!).
But right now... getting ON T is the first priority. Especially now it's getting harder and harder here in the Netherlands :s (the biggest 'gender team' stopped taking new patients due to lack of money! D:)

I like this video, you can see how subte the changes are. I hope I can keep this video in mind when I start T so I don't get impatient. Erik, I'd say come to Belgium but we're scare our genderteam will follow soon...

Nathaniel, I was planning to do that, yes. As the other option is all the way to Groningen (not sure whether they even take people from across the country!), and I live 'down under' -lol ::)- in Noord-Brabant
But wow, even more gender teams closing...? I can't believe it! :( How the heck are we ( ="Dutch and Belgian transpeople") supposed to transition that way!? (Ehh... not. I suppose :s)

Quote from: Erik Ezrin on January 27, 2014, 02:08:20 AMWell we're not sure but the genderteam in Gent is already getting people from the netherlands and Germany and we're worried that with the closing of VUmc they'll be overrun... But for now nothing has been said so maybe we're paranoid :) Anyway if they close I'm asking them to wait until may so I can at least start :p

I think this is really awesome, cause it does show changes gradually over time, I know when I start T, I might get impatient some days and I'm going to have to look at videos like these, maybe I will do a picture/video log too of the changes, so I can look back and be like damn did this really happen lol
